Compensation Pay Range: $16.00 - $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Essential Job Functions:

Drive company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or distribution center. Must have legal required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements. Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on set route, deliver to appropriate store.

Maintain daily city route manifest for deliveries.

Responsible for keeping fleet/fuel card, vehicle and keys secure. Must be familiar with accident report guidelines.

Ensure designated team member at each store verifies all invoices and signs the route manifest. Deliveries must be made according to set schedule and any delays reported to city delivery supervisor and/or stores remaining on route.

Project professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations. Communicate any problems or special needs from stores to store management.

Check fluid levels, i.e., oil, radiator, transmission, etc., and log mileage prior to operating vehicle each day. Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to store manager. Ensure fuel tank is filled, lock and secure vehicle at end of day's business. Drive safely and defensively.

Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.

Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.

Primary Purpose

To handle losses and claims for property and casualty insurers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Examines insurance policies and other records to determine insurance coverage.
  • Interviews, telephones, and/or corresponds with claimant and witnesses regarding claim.
  • Consults police and hospital records and inspects property damage to determine extent of company's liability and varying methods of investigation according to type of insurance.
  • Estimates cost of repair, replacement, or compensation.
  • Prepares report of findings and negotiates settlement with claimant.
  • Recommends litigation by legal department when settlement cannot be negotiated.
  • Attends litigation hearings.
  • Revises case reserves in assigned claims files to cover probable costs.

Qualifications

Education & Licensing

Job Description

The Opportunity

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students in grades K-12 with speech (including articulation, phonological, voice, resonance, and fluency disorders), language, and social communication disorders. He/she also serves as a campus consultant for staff, teachers, and parents on issues related to speech and language development. The SLP is responsible for maintaining accurate clinical records for students receiving speech therapy. This position furthers the mission of KIPP Texas as it helps ensure that all students with communication disorders receive the specialized interventions they need to make meaningful progress and lead a life of choice.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate students with speech impairments

a. Observe students who are having speech difficulties as noticed by parents or teachers who suspect an impairment

b. Assess and evaluate students to determine if a speech impairment is present and to determine eligibility for services

c. Recommend in-classroom interventions prior to therapy referral

d. Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings to interpret

assessments and to discuss appropriate placement and goal setting for student identified as having speech or language impairments

e. Participate in KIPP Houston's All Children Will Learn (ACWL) committee meetings to discuss interventions and pre-referral recommendations

Provide therapy to students that are identified as speech impaired

a. Meet with students on a regular basis to ensure services are provided as indicated in the ARD document ; Closely follow therapy schedule and provide make-up sessions when necessary

b. Provide therapy in the areas of language, articulation, fluency, and voice disorders

c. Implement Best Practices related to therapy techniques

d. Complete clinical records and paperwork associated with speech services

e. Provide students with Speech report cards each quarter to track progress

Evaluate the effectiveness of speech therapy

a. Assist teachers and parents in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of speech therapy throughout the year

b. Anticipate areas where there is a need for more development or improvement

c. Meet with the ARD committee to discuss progress, interpret test results, and/or modify students' IEPs

d. Effectively communicate with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the accomplishment of therapy goals and needs of each student

Provide informative workshops for educators, school leaders and faculty members

a. Work with members of the Special Education Team in S 3 to provide at least one workshop per year at each KIPP Houston campus; Address issues such as developmental and educational norms for speech and in-classroom interventions

b. Provide educators and parents with resources related to speech and language

c. Assist school personnel in the identification and understanding of students with communication deficits

Attend and participate in monthly Special Education meetings with the Director of Special Populations

Qualifications

Education and Knowledge:

* Valid licensure through Texas Department of Licensure & Regulation as a Speech Language Pathologist

* Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology

* Previous experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting

Skills:

As per TMHC (Team Mobile Health Care) policy, employees should always wear their seatbelts when in a company vehicle.

• Renders emergency and non-emergency medical care in accordance with the rules, regulations, protocols, policies, and procedures of TMHC (Team Mobile Health Care), the State of Tennessee, DPH/OEMS, and the Regional Office of OEMS, consistent with good judgment and the provision of high-quality medical care. Appropriately and safely deliver the patient to the nearest, most appropriate medical facility.

• Works with ALS personnel in a professional manner and works at their skill level in accordance with the Tennessee DPH/OEMS and company policies. Maintain good relations between our own ALS services as well as outside services.

• Acts at all times in the best interests of high-quality patient care, in the best interests of the patient, and in such a manner to reflect credibly on TMHC (Team Mobile Health Care) and the professional reputation of the emergency medical technician.

• Acts as an EMT preceptor when called upon by management to train or retrain fellow employees.

Job Description
Position Purpose: To further the mission of the camp through the development and delivery of adventure activities at the camp. Deliver adventure activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ age and abilities. Inspect both the equipment and the site safety before and after use. Make sure all equipment is put away in a secure location when not in use. This position involves considerable teamwork and group management skills.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Deliver progressive outdoor programs to participants as described in Activity Checkpoints and through discussion with the Camp Director.
    • Each participant must possess the physical strength and technical skills to use the equipment, and must understand the safety procedures and consequences of their actions.
    • Ability to recognize if participants will be able to safely participate in programming, and address concerns/questions if participants need to be turned away.
    • Evaluate the success of the outdoor program offerings and the development of the participants’ abilities and skills in adventure.
    • Ensure that participants know and follow safety and educational procedures for each location.
  2. Assist in the implementation activities such as on-demand programming, rock wall, zip line, archery, low ropes, & boating (offerings may change from camp to camp based on availability and individual qualifications).
    • Train other staff in their adventure responsibilities including spotting and catching.
    • Provide on-demand or badgework programming under the direction of the Camp Director.
  3. Assist in the management and care of the equipment and site.
    • Conduct daily checks of area and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair.
    • Clean activity area daily keeping it free of hazards and debris.
    • Report any issues to the Camp Director.

Other Job Duties:
  • Attends all training sessions and pre-season staff meetings.
  • Maintains clear and positive written and verbal communication with all staff.
  • Participates enthusiastically in all camp activities, providing support and guidance to all staff.
  • Adhere to all GSCSNJ council policies and procedures.
  • Observe all safety precautions and comply with all GSCSNJ council health and safety rules and procedures.
  • Must be available to work Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Scheduling varies weekend to weekend, and will be confirmed with Activities Specialist one week prior to work.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current certification in the area of instruction or documented experience and training.
    • All archery instructors must hold at least a current Level 1 Instructor Certification from USA Archery or an equivalent certifying body.
    • All boating instructors must hold at least a current Small Craft Safety Certification from GSCSNJ or an equivalent certifying body.
    • All zip line, low ropes, rock wall and programming instructors must participate in on-site training with GSCSNJ.
  • Ability to interact with all age levels.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Training and experience in teaching outdoor activities.
    • Activities may include on-demand skill building/badge work, rock wall, zip line, archery, low ropes, and/or boating
  • Desire and ability to work with children outdoors.
  • Understanding of the development needs of youth.
  • Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner.
  • Must be able to participate in the activity that is being instructed (i.e. instructors at the rock wall should be able to climb).

Physical Aspects of the Position:
  • Ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers and staff.
  • Ability to observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques.
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity.
  • Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
  • Some physical requirements could be endurance including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances, climbing a ladder or to a platform, and stretching.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to withstand daily exposure to the sun, heat, and animals such as bugs, snakes, bats, etc.
