What You’ll Be Doing
  • Perform startup, commissioning, and field service of HVAC control systems and airflow equipment
  • Troubleshoot low voltage electrical controls, DDC systems, sensors, and field devices
  • Support maintenance, calibration, and certification of laboratory airflow and fume hood control systems
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics

Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within the facility — mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled
Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime
Run EMT and Rigid conduit, including threading and bending from 1/2" to 2" (kicks, saddles, 90's, offsets, etc.)
Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment
Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and production lines
Work with AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, and Pneumatic/Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance log books
Work independently and professionally, completing assignments in a timely and thorough manner
Maintain a strong focus on Environment, Health, and Safety at all times


Qualifications Needed

Education/Licensing: High School Diploma or equivalent; Licensed Journeyman Electrician in the state of Massachusetts (required)
Minimum 5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance electrician experience
Experience or strong background in running, threading, and bending EMT and Rigid conduit (1/2" to 2"), including kicks, saddles, 90's, and offsets
Strong background in repairing, installing, replacing, and testing electrical circuits and equipment, with extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems
Proven ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled production lines and equipment
Working knowledge of AC Motor Controls, DC Motors & Controls, VFDs, and Pneumatic/Hydraulic Controls — interpreted from wiring diagrams and schematics
Proficiency with diagnostic test equipment (Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, Megohmmeter)

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including Charitable Status, Withholding Payments, Goods and Services Tax, Employer Health Tax.
  • Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Board's Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary.
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.
  • Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
  • Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation.
  • Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate.
  • Assist the President and CEO with financial reporting as required at Board meetings and the Annual General Meetings and provide advice to support the decision-making process.
  • Oversee and manage company financial systems, ensuring maximum productivity and that it aligns with company business goals and objectives.
  • Lead and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success.
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA).
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
  • Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the Construction or Engineering Industry.
  • Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with senior management, board of directors and staff.
  • Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment is a must.
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering is considered a strong asset.
