Occ Summary

Accurately complete patient accounts based on departmental protocol, policies and procedures, and compliance with regulatory agencies, to include but not limited to pre-admission, admission, pre-registration and registration functions. Ensure all insurance requirements are met prior to patients' arrival and inform patients of their financial liability prior to arrival for services. Arrange payment options with the patients and screens patients for government funding sources.

Work Performed Analyze insurance coverage and benefits for service to ensure timely reimbursement. Obtain all Prior Authorization Certification and/or authorizations as appropriate. Facilitate payment sources for uninsured patients. Determine if patient's condition is the result of an accident and perform complete research to determine the appropriate source of liability/payment. Admit, register and pre-register patients with accurate patient demographic and financial data. Resolve insurance claim rejections/denials and remedy expediently. Calculate and collect cash payments appropriately for all patients. Reconcile daily cash deposit. Evaluate diagnoses to ensure compliance with the Local Medicare Review Policy. Perform those duties necessary to ensure all accounts are processed accurately and efficiently. Compile departmental statistics for budgetary and reporting purposes. Explain bills according to PRMO credit and collection policies. Implement appropriate collection actions and assist financially responsible persons in arranging payment. Make referral for financial counseling. Determine necessity of third party sponsorship and process patients in accordance with policy and procedure. Examine insurance policies and other third party sponsorship materials for sources of payment. Inform attending physician of patient financial hardship. Complete the managed care waiver form for patients considered out of network and receiving services at a reduced benefit level. Update the billing system to reflect the insurance status of the patient. Refer patients to the Manufacturer Drug program as needed for medications. Greet and provides assistance to visitors and patients. Explain policies and procedures, and resolves problems. Gathers necessary documentation to support proper handling of inquiries and complaints. Assist with departmental coverage as requested. Obtain authorizations based on insurance plan contracts and guidelines. Document billing system according to policy and procedure. Enter and update referrals as required. Communicate with insurance carriers regarding clinical information requested and to resolve issues relating to coverage and payment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Ability to analyze data, perform multiple tasks and work independently. Must be able to develop and maintain professional, service-oriented working relationships with patients, physicians, co-workers and supervisors. Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to provide a safe environment, give emotional and social support and attend to the resident's physical needs and comfort in a SNF setting. Performs direct care to the residents as assigned, in accordance with the resident's care plan, and as directed by your Supervisor. Education/Qualifications:

Job Details

As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients, families and visitors. This role involves assisting with procedures under the supervision of a physician or nurse and scribe for the medical providers. You will also assist with medication management, patient monitoring, administrative tasks and more. This position provides the rewarding opportunity to receive hands on experience while providing excellent care to patients within several departments helping to ensure the best possible health outcomes.

A caregiver in this position works from 7:30 a.m. -- 8:00 p.m. with variable evenings and weekends as needed.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
  • Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program OR military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1)
  • Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within new hire period

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Medical Assisting Certification
  • Successful completion of a Cleveland Clinic externship

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
  • May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting.
  • Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
  • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
  • Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
  • Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

About The Team And The Role

Do you want to contribute to one of the world's most sophisticated Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) programs? Are you passionate about investigating financial crimes and protecting the trust and safety of a global platform that serves millions of users every day?

Within eBay Commerce Inc. (eCI), the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) plays a meaningful role in executing the company's Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and AML compliance program. The team conducts advanced financial crime investigations, identifies emerging typologies, and ensures compliance with regulatory expectations including the BSA and USA PATRIOT Act.

The FIU's mission is to safeguard eBay's marketplace through expert investigation, analytical excellence, and a deep commitment to ethical, compliant business practices ensuring that commerce remains safe, transparent, and trustworthy worldwide!

As an Investigator II, you will play a critical role in protecting the integrity of eBay's platform and ensuring compliance with AML and CTF obligations. You will conduct complex investigations, analyze transactional activity, and prepare SARs that meet regulatory standards. In addition, you will provide mentorship and light supervision to 23 Investigator I's, helping to develop their investigative and analytical capabilities.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Lead moderate to complex financial crime investigations.
  • Identify suspicious activity through data analysis and behavioral review.
  • Draft and file high-quality SARs that meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to Investigator I's on case quality and procedures.
  • Participate in process improvement and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong personal book of work while balancing leadership duties (~80% casework / 20% mentorship).

What You Will Bring

  • 4+ years of AML or financial crime investigation experience.
  • 3+ years of SAR drafting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required; CAMS, CFE, or CFCS preferred.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; SQL or query experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of BSA/AML/CTF regulations.
  • Proven analytical and written communication excellence.

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$71,600 - $123,400

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
