Role Overview













The Manager, Outbound Transportation is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the transportation and logistics processes for outbound shipments/operations. Additionally, this role involves managing logistics, coordinating with carriers, ensuring compliance with regulations, and improving efficiency in transportation processes. This role is responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring that goods are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. The Manager, Outbound Transportation plays a crucial role in supporting and optimizing the relationship with a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, as well as strategic planning and collaboration.





Duties & Responsibilities








Operations Management







    • Analyze transportation processes and identify areas for improvement


    • Communicate between different warehouses and collaborate with leadership on critical issues impacting transportation productivity and workforce


    • Oversee and manage all TN outbound transportation activities


    • Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize operational efficiency and reduce cost


    • Develop policies, programs, and procedures for efficient operation of transportation productivity and workforce


    • Coordinate with carriers and 3PL to ensure timely delivery of goods to fulfill Customers Service Level Agreements


    • Ensure all transportation activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies


    • Partner with Procurement to lead bidding processes for Parcel, TL and LTL operations to reduce operational cost and improve service levels


    • Partner with Order Management and Warehouse Operations to fulfill Customer operational requirements


    • Review and approve carriers' monthly invoices value to assure alignment with monthly execution







3PL Management for Outbound Transportation







    • Clearly communicate goals, service expectations, and performance metrics to the 3PL, including, delivery times, service levels, and process/procedures


    • Share demand forecasts and trends to help the 3PL plan resources and inventory more effectively


    • Provides resolution on escalated transportation issues to multiple business units


    • Develop and discuss contingency plans for potential disruptions in the supply chain


    • Establish key performance indicators (KPI) relevant to the 3PL providers operations, such as on time delivery rates, order accuracy, cost per shipment, and inventory turnover


    • Review cost structure and identify opportunities for savings or efficiency improvements


    • Negotiate rates and terms with the 3PL provider to ensure competitive pricing and value for money.


    • Partner with the Customer Compliance team to evaluate on a daily/weekly and monthly basis customer compliance penalties to develop strategic and operational action plans with carriers to improve operational performance







Continuous Improvement







    • Serves as an objective point of view to suggest solutions and partner with senior management collectively to implement and execute solutions


    • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in transportation processes


    • Drive continuous improvement and align with overall corporate policies


    • Utilize analytical expertise to develop and manage key initiatives directed by Senior Management


    • Develop and implement together with the IT organization reports and metrics to guarantee operational control of the transportation operation

Base Salary







    • The targeted base salary range for this position if based in

      will be $90,000 - $105,000?per year.

    • Base salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the successful candidate, as well as factors such as internal equity, cost of labor in the hiring location, and alignment with market data.









Additional Compensation







    • This position is eligible for a

      15%

      bonus at 100% of target, with the opportunity to achieve above 100% dependent on company performance and in alignment with company bonus plans.


    • Bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon individual performance as well as Brother achieving its corporate objectives, in accordance with the applicable bonus plan in effect.

Engineering Manager

The Department of Public Utilities seeks an Engineering Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and lead the design and construction of diverse water and wastewater projects. The Medical Director leads and oversees all medical care provided to WelbeHealth participants. This role is also accountable for the development, maintenance, and oversight of the WelbeHealth Quality Improvement (QI) program, and all medical policies, procedures, standards, and protocols. The Medical Director oversees the contracted specialty network of services and provides leadership among staff, colleagues, and providers in the community. As necessary, the Medical Director also provides direct care as a PACE Physician.

On the day-to-day, you will:

  • Develop and maintain written objectives, policies, procedure manuals, organizational plans, and quality assurance programs for the medical service, reviewing all medical policies and procedures at least annually, as well as develop medical staff bylaws, in cooperation with the medical staff
  • Participate in planning and budgeting for the medical service
  • Coordinate and integrate the medical service with other participant care services to provide a continuum of care
  • Ensure medical staffing patterns are implemented
  • Assist in developing and maintaining written job descriptions for the medical staff, participating in the review of credentials and delineation of privileges of medical staff, and assigning duties based upon education, training, competencies, and job descriptions
  • Recruit, train, and supervise (including PACE orientation and competency testing) PACE Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, community-based PACE Physicians and other contracted medical staff, and participate in staff orientation and education activities
  • Approve the contents, locations, and frequency of checking contents, including expiration dates, emergency kits or carts, equipment, and supplies, as well as assigning responsibility for these checks

Job requirements include:

  • Successful completion of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or approved by the American Osteopathic Association in a medical specialty related to services provided by the facility, or a diplomate of one (1) of the certifying boards approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties or of the American Osteopathic Association in a medical specialty related to services provided by the facility
  • Board certification in internal medicine, family practice, emergency medicine, or geriatrics preferred
  • Active state physician license without restrictions
  • State CDS certification and active DEA registration
  • Must be currently enrolled or eligible for enrollment to provide services to Medicare participants
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Current knowledge of chronic care, geriatric issues, and best practices; working knowledge of PACE regulations preferred
  • Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects
