Ascension Seton is looking for a Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical care to patients in the Austin area.

Join an established team of physicians and APPs. Practice setting: Outpatient. Four weekend shifts per month requirement. APP coverage will include multi-site care. Employed position within a nonprofit health system. Deliver direct care to treat common illnesses and injuries, as well as performing procedures and diagnostics. Will conduct patient histories, physical assessments, and interventions to support and deliver compassionate patient care.

Formulate treatment plans by ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely intervention and continuity of care within a supportive, physician-collaborative practice model. Empower patients and families by providing clear counseling on wellness, treatment pathways, and community resources to improve long-term wellness and self-care. Support and coordinate care when higher levels of care are necessary, as well as ensuring timely follow-up with primary care physicians, pediatricians, and specialists. In addition, outpatient imaging, physical therapy, and RX services are available to patients. Practice with full clinical autonomy, enabling you to operate at the full scope of your license.

We employ passionate individuals that are looking to help us write the next best chapter of our residents' lives!The primary function of Billing Assistant is to assist and support in the processing, reviewing and follow up of all third party insurance claims for the facility in accordance with all federal, state, and local guidelines, standards, and, as directed by the Director of Patient Billing.Essential Functions:Control and maintain census, resident files, billing setup in PCC.Responsible for securing information on residents' financial status, through Waystar and/or other provider portals. Includes but not limited to precertification, authorizations and referrals.Responsible for providing timely and accurate billing and collections of all accounts for the assigned facilities.Performs monthly review of accounts receivable aging for all resident account balances.Ability to assess accuracy of claims and perform collection efforts (as needed) to ensure timely payments.Collaborate with residents, families, and insurance companies to resolve billing inquiries and disputes.Maintain general working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance regulations and requirements.Billing Assistant Qualifications:This position requires a High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience in a healthcare (long-term care) billing and collections role.EHR and/or billing software experience required.
