The Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our growing team and support the design and coordination of site development projects — including grading, utilities, drainage, and stormwater management systems for residential and infrastructure developments. This is an office-based position focused on creating accurate, efficient, and code-compliant plans. You’ll work closely with our lead engineer and company owner while operating with a high level of independence in a collaborative, detail-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and prepare grading, utility, and stormwater management plans for residential and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop site layouts and coordinate plan sets in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable state and local codes and permitting requirements.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and other consultants to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Review and analyze design data, calculations, and reports to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Support permitting processes and communicate with regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance during design, plan review, and construction phases.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee (required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in land development, grading, utilities, or stormwater design.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of local codes, zoning, and permitting processes in Tennessee.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
