Under the direction of the Radiologist, performs all computerized tomography scans on various portions of the body to assist the medical staff in the detection of abnormalities. Performs duties and functions as a CT and Radiology Technologist as assigned. This position requires providing care/service to a critically through sub-acutely ill pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support the hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) and (CT) preferred
  • Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiology
  • One year of CT experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Accelerated Radiology Tech-to-CT Tech Training Program

Our Radiology Technologist-to-CT Technologist Training Program is a 10-week training program sponsored entirely by HCA. Through this program, selected candidates with current Radiology Tech credentials will learn all the needed skills to advance to a certified CT Tech role through online didactic instruction as well as clinical experiences at the facility in which they are employed. Qualifications

  • Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school or Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Valid ARRT (R) certification

Job Summary and Qualifications

Radiology Technologist

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed opportunity. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) may include but are not limited to:

· Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures

· Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated

  • Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
  • Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications:

· 2-year/Associate degree

· Hospital-based Radiologic Technology program

· Valid ARRT certification

    Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment, performing procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.     Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech or X-Ray Tech) include but are not limited to:

    • Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
    • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
    • Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
    • Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
    • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
    • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
    • Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

    Qualifications

    • Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school
    • Valid ARRT (R) certification
    • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
    • Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
