Dykema Gossett PLLC, a leading national law firm celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026, is seeking to hire two experienced Legal E-Billing Specialists who will be responsible for timely, efficient and accurate e-billing of client accounts. Works closely with Billing Coordinators, attorneys, clients and e-billing vendors to facilitate e-billing in accordance with client and established firm guidelines and attorney requests within policy. Works closely with billing leadership, proactively identify issues and resolve inquiries. Position is open to all our office locations.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Client Financial Intake Specialist to onboard new clients and update existing client e-billing vendor sites, updating timekeepers, rates and budgets for client approval.
  • Submit client bills prepared by billing team onto e-billing vendor sites via upload or BillBlast.
  • Analyze and correct submission errors, collaborating with the billing team to correct errors in Aderant for resubmission.
  • Monitor the stages of acceptance on various e-billing vendor sites.
  • Become an expert on client engagement letters and billing guidelines to ensure compliance that limit delays in billing and collections.
  • Review daily cash report for client payments and application accuracy, identifying reductions for coordination with billing attorneys in order to appeal or write-off, and working with the cash team on any adjustments or refunds.
  • Audit, research and contact clients regarding aged accounts receivable of e-billed invoices; input notes into Bill Blast and collection modules; coordinate with the billing team to correct related issues.
  • Organize and maintain client billing and instruction files for each billing client.
  • Identify unusual situations, gather information and elevate as needed for assistance, providing the billing team with guidance and assistance on complex e-billing issues.
  • Responsible for research and resolution on ad-hoc projects and assignments as they arise.

This job is responsible for handling medium to large projects for a Line of Business that may be regional or national in scope. Key responsibilities include recommending policy and procedural changes and developing measurement criteria and project plans such as cost and resource estimates. Job expectations include working with senior management to evaluate current methods and develop strategies to implement change and improvements brought about by the project.

The Operations Project Consultant will be responsible for the testing of various systems conversion/modification and collateral projects. Daily responsibilities of this position include execution of test scripts and identification and tracking of defects Octane. Data prep and conditioning of accounts as necessary. Provide daily updates to stakeholders and leadership as needed. Review and validate changes across various collateral types and data sources to determine the appropriate testing methodology.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes current state processes, existing operations, procedures, and workflows and discovers pain points to develop approaches for potential solutions, including building a business case for improvement recommendations and driving the execution of implementation
  • Coordinates with the business to support defined project tasks, tracking deliverables and their statuses, and measuring progress against ongoing success measures
  • Supports partnerships with operations management to create project impact and provide direction and guidance to internal teams
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with relevant client stakeholders to communicate updates and escalate issues

Required Qualifications:

The Project Manager's scope will be approximately 80% focused on Transparency Reporting and 20% on supporting regulatory compliance. This is the approximate breakdown at this time, but that can change in response to the regulatory and compliance landscape.

Transparency Reporting (TR) Responsibilities (~80%)

  • Project Management: Manage the calendar and deadlines for all Transparency Reports. This includes preliminary report drafting, interpreting metrics, building documentation of decision flows, overseeing timely contributions from cross functional partners including Data Science and Legal, managing formal reviews and approvals, and publishing public-facing reports onto Snap's website.
  • Analysis & Adaptation: Track metrics year-round, assess trends and insights from within the reports, and ensure appropriate data architecture is in place for new products and features. Taking action on these findings will make Snap safer.
  • Optimization: Drive ongoing improvements and automations of the current TR approach.

Regulatory Compliance Duties (~20%)

  • Project Management of New Workflows: Manage the setup of new bespoke workflows for growing regulatory obligations.
  • DSA Audit Support: Work with internal and external audit partners to demonstrate Trust & Safety's compliance and manage work-streams that emerge from the audit period.
  • RFI/Inquiry Support: Support responding to inquiries from regulatory bodies.

Assorted Trust & Safety Enablement Support

  • Ad hoc support for other strategic and operational projects to drive scaling and optimization initiatives across Trust & Safety policy, tooling and vendor management.
  • (On occasion) investigate abuse and safety incident reports, take appropriate action per operations policies and follow through clearly and consistently on every report.
