Practice Info

  • Clinical responsibilities are at Carilion Medical Center (CMC), an 835-bed tertiary academic health center.
  • CMC is a Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center with 49 anesthetizing locations and NORA rooms.
  • CMC is the only regional perinatal health care center in Southwest Virginia, performing over 2000 vaginal and 1000 cesarean deliveries annually.
  • The Birthplace has 12 labor rooms and 2 dedicated obstetric operating rooms.
  • Inpatient obstetric coverage is provided by Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care during labor, delivery, and postpartum period, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized anesthetic plans for pregnant patients.
  • Administer epidurals, spinal blocks, and other regional anesthetics to manage pain during labor.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels during the delivery process.

Travel Expectations

Travel assignments are coordinated by Milan's Scheduling Team, with all travel expenses covered. Travel by flight and vehicle is required. Assignments vary in length depending on business demand and may include support across any of Milan's 400+ locations nationwide.

Providers must be able to fulfill a 100 percent travel schedule and reside within close proximity to both a Milan clinic and a major airport.

Job Summary

Schedule: Part-time 20 hours. Every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. Holiday rotation.

As the lead position, the primary responsibility of the Distribution Coordinator is to direct the activity of all patient Transporters and Decontamination Techs within the department to ensure the timely response to all calls received by the department. The Distribution Coordinator must have a complete understanding of all department responsibilities as they relate to the hospital, receive, dispatch, and prioritize all calls, and resolve issues when necessary. The Distribution Coordinator may also be required to perform transport or Decontamination duties when staffing is limited.

Receive requests through Epic ADT/P Transport Manager

Enter all required information into Epic Transport Manager

Dispatch calls to available transporters via pager or Vocera

Implement break and lunch times minimizing how the department will be impacted during these times

Correct scheduling issues that might occur by calling in replacement transporters as necessary

Transport patients and supplies when needed for staffing reasons. Daily code cart cage inventory outdated and supply check and complete code cart restocking if necessary.

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory position is preferred.

Position Overview

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for supporting all functions of the time and attendance payroll system for a union workforce. This position ensures accurate payroll processing through the reconciliation of employee hours, incentive pay, and production data. The Payroll Clerk will partner closely with Human Resources, supervisors, and operations to ensure payroll activities comply with union agreements, employment policies, and benefits practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily payroll operations within ADP eTime, including entering, reviewing, and clearing timecard exceptions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and employees to verify hours, production data, and incentive pay for payroll accuracy.
  • Reconcile daily payroll and production summaries, ensuring alignment between timekeeping and manufacturing systems.
  • Enter and maintain production data within time and attendance and manufacturing systems.
  • Prepare shift summaries and maintain detailed spreadsheets to support operational planning.
  • Track, document, and process payroll adjustments using supervisor-approved documentation.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding timecards, pay, and adjustments.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure payroll processing adheres to union contracts, policies, and benefits practices.
  • Maintain accurate tracking and reconciliation of union dues payments.
  • Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and process integrity.
  • Support process improvement initiatives between operations and payroll to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Train and support team members on payroll processes and system usage.
  • Generate and distribute payroll and operational reports as needed.
  • Document internal payroll processes and maintain organized records.
  • Perform additional administrative duties, including label printing, static record reviews, and other assigned tasks.
  • Assist with basic accounting-related tasks as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience with ADP eTime or a similar payroll/timekeeping system.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a union environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience managing and reconciling spreadsheet-based data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Exposure to SAP preferred.
