Flight Operations Specialist

***This is a Title 32 Excepted Service National Guard Employee Position Description Which Requires Military Membership*** As a FLIGHT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (Title 32) with the Texas National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Conducts preflight pilot briefings in accordance with National Guard regulations and directives. Briefs pilots on mission, aircraft and flight plan. Briefs and provides pilots with information on mission restrictions; on-route navigational facilities and equipment, hazards and terrain; weather forecasts; notices to airmen (NOTAMS) and deviations to flight plans when required. Is responsible for assuring pilot and crew are qualified in aircraft to be flown and for type of mission to be performed. Is responsible for completion of risk analysis projection. Determines when flight requires higher level approving authority. As flight approving official, signs briefing documents upon completion of mission preflight briefings. Makes recommendations to pilot-in-charge when flights should not be attempted. Conducts post mission debriefs. Provides flight following services for all local and maintenance test flights. Responsible for direct voice communication with aviators in flight to transmit and receive information such as flight plan changes, weather advisories, NOTAMs, other aeronautical information and data affecting safety of flight.
  • Processes extended and local clearances, including examination for conformance with flight rules and regulations. Processes, clears and transmits flight plans and flight progress messages to appropriate agencies (FSS, ACT tower, ARTCC) which may require use of service Be equipment. Responsible for initiating search and rescue for overdue aircraft and implementing the crash rescue plan in the event of an aircraft accident.
  • Prepares, maintains and files records, charts, graphs, and reports allied to flight operations and flight training activities such as aircraft utilization reports, aircrew information reports, individual flight records, notice to airmen (NOTAM) file and airfield data. Compiles and summarizes reports for analysis through the use of a computer system and peripheral equipment. Maintains and accounts for aircrew training records, medical recommendations, aeronautical orders, physiological training, and aviation service data. Maintains arrival and dispatch records for inbound and outbound aircraft. Schedules and dispatches assigned aircraft and aircrews. Serves as the Synthetic Flight Training System (SFTS) coordinator by scheduling and providing necessary administrative support for aviator training.
  • Maintains current file of aircraft flying regulations and navigational information such as radio facility carts, instrument approach procedure charts, aeronautical charts, Airman's Information Manual (AIM), airport directory, location identifiers, ATC procedures manual and Army Flight Information Publications.

Strategic Operations Consultant

This role will support key strategic operations and supply chain initiatives across RTX and play a critical role honing the precision of our global operations. The ideal candidate has a consulting mindset, thrives in a problem-solving environment, and demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful impact. Candidates with experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), strategy consulting, and supply chain or manufacturing operations will excel in this role.

What You Will Do:

  • Problem Solving and Analytical Insight:
    • Apply a structured problem-solving approach to diagnose challenges, identify opportunities, and develop actionable solutions for complex business challenges.
    • Synthesize large datasets and unstructured information into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
    • Leverage advanced analytics tools and techniques to uncover opportunities for operational optimization and cost reduction.
  • Strategic Thinking:
    • Collaborate and consult with stakeholders to shape strategic priorities and align initiatives with organizational goals.
    • Contribute to the development of business cases and strategy roadmaps for high-impact projects.
  • Collaborative Engagement:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and supply chain, to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams through the operations council framework to translate data insights into efficient, scalable actions.
    • Facilitate workshops and discussions leveraging our CORE operating model to guide teams through recommendations.
  • Presentation and Communication:
    • Translate complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations for senior leadership.
    • Develop high-quality presentations and reports that effectively communicate insights and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Analytics, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience (5 years with advanced degree) working in in data analysis, FP&A, strategy consulting, applied to Supply Chain/Operations/Manufacturing

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.               We’re seeking a Field Service Manager to lead and scale our field operations, ensuring high-quality, efficient service delivery across a national technician network. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading distributed teams, and is passionate about operational excellence and customer satisfaction.


              Key Responsibilities
              • Lead and manage a team of field technicians across multiple regions

              • Oversee scheduling and dispatch to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery

              • Monitor key performance metrics (response time, completion rates, utilization, quality) and drive continuous improvement

              • Partner with internal teams (Sales, Project Management, Operations) to align service delivery with business goals

              • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and project stakeholders

              • Coach, mentor, and develop technicians to improve performance and service quality

              • Conduct field visits and performance evaluations

              • Support hiring and onboarding of new technicians

              • Manage service-related costs, inventory, and resource allocation

              • Implement training programs and certification processes for supported products

              • Ensure accurate documentation and timely service order completion to support billing

              Required Qualifications
              • Experience managing field service technicians or distributed teams

              • Strong scheduling, dispatching, and resource allocation experience

              • Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive improvements

              • Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills

              • Willingness to travel (~2 days/week)


              Preferred Qualifications
              • Multi-region field service leadership experience

              • Background in construction or technical service environments

              • Experience working cross-functionally (Sales, Ops, PMs)

              • Familiarity with service metrics and dispatching tools

              Job Description

              OLH Technical Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, a federal government contractor, is seeking a Media Specialist to join the team in Newport, Rhode Island.


              Position Responsibilities:

              • Maintains functionality (expiration dates, incorrect labeling, etc.) for a variety of media sources, e.g., tapes, cassettes, microfiche, film, and compact disks/DVDs, in addition to introduction of new media technology. 
              • Troubleshoots and resolves media errors and data processing problems; lower-level media specialists focus on preplanned procedures when troubleshooting, while higher level media specialist may deviate from standard operating procedures. 
              • Maintains library of media (tapes, cassettes and microfiche), which presents few difficult data processing problems (e.g. damaged media or misplaced media). 
              • Data processing problems, applies data processing or corrective procedures, refers problems which do not have preplanned procedures, and works under general supervision of the higher-level Media Specialists.

               

              Position Requirements:

              • US Citizen is required
              • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance or higher. 
              • High school diploma
                 
                 

              Compensation: $22.81 per hour.
