In This Role, You'll:
- Operate a diesel-powered tractor-trailer on local routes - no layovers
- Must be able to handle packaged Chicken, Beef, or Pork products.
- MUST be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
- 100% touch freight
- Drivers average 10-15 stops per day
- OVERNIGHT DRIVING, and dispatch times are between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., depending on your route. HOME DAILY, NO LAYOVERS!!
- Schedule is four (4) days per week, with the possibility of a fifth (5th) day, 12-14 hours per day.
What You'll Bring:
- A valid Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving and 8 months of delivery experience preferred
- MUST have touch freight experience
- Ability to lift 5–75+ lbs., stay active throughout the shift, and work in multi-temperature environments (coolers/freezers)
- Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with dispatch, store teams, and fellow drivers
- Ability to complete vehicle inspections, maintain DOT logs, and meet all compliance requirements, including reading and speaking English as required by DOT regulations.
The Schedule & Setting:
- OVERNIGHT DRIVING, and dispatch times are between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., depending on your route. HOME DAILY, NO LAYOVERS!!
- MUST be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
- All trailers equipped with lift gates - no ramps
- Touch freight - with repetitive lifting of 5-75 lbs.
Pay & Benefits:
- Pay: Drivers are paid under a component-based structure that varies by client and route, with average annual earnings typically ranging from $88k– $130k. Pay may be based on set route pay or on mileage and cases delivered.
- Additional pay: training, holiday, sick/personal) is paid hourly and varies by facility.
- Other Compensation: May include shift differentials, overtime pay, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location.

- During training, pay is $27.45/hr.
- Routes pay: $1,700-$2,200 weekly (including component pay), depending on the route.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide guidance, support, and issue resolutions for employees on a wide range of HR topics, including new hire orientation, benefits counseling, payroll, safety practices, drug and alcohol testing, and workplace conduct policies. Ensure all required federal and state labor regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, Title VII) are properly communicated and visibly posted, maintaining full compliance and fostering a well-informed, safe, and respectful work environment.
- Support recruitment, selection, placement, and onboarding of exempt, non-exempt, and hourly associates to achieve required staffing levels and ensure selection of highly qualified candidates. Maintain and update staffing trackers weekly to monitor progress, identify gaps, and support proactive workforce planning.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions to ensure a smooth onboarding experience, familiarize employees with company policies and culture, and set the foundation for long-term success.
- Provide guidance to managers and supervisors regarding implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure fair and compliant human resources practices.
- Conduct and document workplace investigations, including harassment or discrimination concerns, and provide evidence-based guidance and recommendations to managers and the Regional HR Manager to ensure fair, timely resolution and a safe, compliant work environment.
- Ensure completion and timely follow-up of 30-, 60-, and 90-day new-hire reviews by coordinating with managers, tracking compliance, and auditing documentation to verify accuracy and program effectiveness.
- Coordinate and deliver HR-related training programs for managers and employees, including onboarding, compliance, performance management, and company policies. Identify training needs, track completion, and ensure programs meet regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
- Manage and process weekly payroll, including audits, PTO balance reconciliation, and timely entry of progressive wage increases.
- Oversee the maintenance and organization of all HR records, including electronic personnel files, new hire documentation, I-9 forms, and policy manuals. Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company standards and federal/state regulations while driving consistent updates and best-in-class record-keeping practices.
- Communicate HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure employees are well-informed, supported, and consistently operate in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Serve as a trusted resource for understanding and applying HR guidelines effectively.
- Administer performance management and appraisal programs to ensure effectiveness, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Implement safety programs and practices to ensure compliance with GSF standards and regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, DOT), promoting a safe and healthy environment for all associates.
- Coordinate the workers’ compensation program, including reporting incidents, coordinating claims with carriers, supporting injured employees, ensuring timely documentation, and tracking case progress. Collaborate with managers to implement return-to-work programs and safety improvements while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
- Monitor employee leave programs, including FMLA, short- and long-term disability, and other statutory or company-provided leaves. Ensure timely processing, accurate documentation, and compliance with federal, state, and company policies. Provide guidance to managers and employees on leave eligibility, return-to-work requirements, and accommodations, while maintaining confidentiality and supporting workforce continuity.
- Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field from an accredited college or university. PHR and/or SPHR certification from SHRM or a college plus demonstrated years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
5 to 10 years of experience in general human resources.
