Job Summary and Qualifications
The role of the Registered Nurse is that of a circulating nurse although scrubbing skills are valuable to this position and are utilized in providing patient care. The nurse provides and supervises patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director in conjunction with the OR team. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient/family, and in support of the mission of Menorah Medical Center. The Registered Nurse in 701 Surgery provides care for patients from all 5 PNDS developmental groupings (Child 1-12 y/o, Adolescent 13-18 y/o, Adult 18-64 y/o, and Senior Adult > 65 y/o. Nursing positions require scheduled as well as “call” commitments.
Position Details:
- Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule
- Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff
- Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room
- Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement
- On-call is required during select non-business hours
What you will do in this role:
- Evaluate patients prior to surgery
- Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
- Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification
- Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy
- Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more
- Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
- Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly
- Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures
What qualifications you will need:
- Prior Surgery experience preferred
- Experience in circulating and scrubbing preferred
- If new to the OR prefer 2 years of progressive acute care nursing experience

Job Summary and Qualifications
The role of the Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is to provide care to the perinatal patient under the direction of the Charge Nurse, the Manager, and the Director of the Family Birthing Center. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Menorah Medical Center and professional organizations and in support of the mission of Menorah Medical Center. - The role of the Float Pool Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the department to which the RN is assigned for his or her shift. We are hiring Paramedics with a passion to compassionately deliver high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced patient care in a professional, caring, and cost-effective manner. Paramedics assess provide patient care and assess each call to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol; performs related responsibilities as required.
Responsibilities:
· Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical care.
· Drive the ambulance and provide map reading support to minimize call response time.
· Continuously maintain all required certifications.
· Communicate with dispatcher to receive and understand call data and customer feedback.
· Monitor and maintain the general condition of the unit, keep it clean and stocked for optimal call response.
· Document activities regarding patient care and billing completely to ensure appropriate information is available regarding each call.
· Follow policies and procedures regarding out-of-chute times and turnaround times.
· Consider patient status and insurance preferred facilities when determining transportation destinations.
· Ability to work past scheduled shift with little or no notice.
· Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to successfully pass Physical Agility Test.
· Aptitudes required for work of this nature are good physical stamina, endurance, and body condition that would not be adversely affected by frequently having to walk, stand, lift, carry, and balance at times.
· Must be able to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and other objects.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Some advanced education preferred.
· Current state Paramedic License.
· Possess a valid State Driver’s License.
· Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS Provider Certification (where applicable or required by contract).
· Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy.
