Assistant Professor (CHS)

The faculty member will be an active participant in the clinical, research, and academic service in the Division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Clinical responsibilities include participating in the care of patients at the UW Hospital and Clinics and Meriter UnityPoint Hospital. In this position the physician will treat a wide range of complex gynecologic diseases utilizing office based and surgical treatment modalities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. In this position there will be involvement in a multi-disciplinary pelvic pain clinic as well as participation in developing and maintaining a program for office-based procedures. The incumbent will work with UW colleagues, in the academic specialist division, to enhance surgical skills by assisting and teaching in the operating room during advanced benign gynecologic surgeries. Clinical responsibilities also include full participation in call for the benign gynecology service.

The ideal incumbent will be expected to have demonstrated an interest in clinical and/or educational research and will be expected to initiate and participate in such research projects and studies, as well as quality and outcome programs. The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly mission of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Academic responsibilities include participation and oversight of surgical training programs related to medical students, residents, and fellowships, as well as advanced surgical training opportunities for faculty. This position will include responsibilities in the simulation lab, developing advanced skills and metrics for residents.

The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine offers a unique opportunity for a Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist to join our exceptional multidisciplinary Program with the opportunity to create a unique clinical practice and engage in teaching and clinical research at a world-class university.

Our Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Programs are known internationally for innovation and excellence. As a major transplant center in the Midwest, we have state of the art interventions including durable ventricular assist device implantation, temporary mechanical circulatory support/cardiogenic shock program, and donation after circulatory death for heart transplant. Our Heart Failure team encompasses programs for amyloidosis, sarcoidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension. Our faculty also lead nationally known clinical research in stem-cell therapy, vagal nerve stimulation and drug discovery for heart failure treatment.

Hospital Liaison

The Hospital Liaison serves Cooley-Dickenson hospital clients as an expert resource and service-oriented partner in the discharge of patients who require DME. This role delivers medical equipment in the hospital and coordinates equipment being delivered to the home.

Essential functions include:

  • Attending daily discharge planning meetings where applicable, recording patient needs, and communicating patient information to DASCO staff for benefits verification and inventory confirmation.
  • Meeting with patient/family/caregiver to review discharge, equipment needs, and identify any additional needs.
  • Delivering equipment to patient's room for home transition, educating patient/family/caregiver on use, care and maintenance of equipment, completing necessary paperwork, and accurately and patiently answering all questions.
  • Maintaining working knowledge of home medical equipment and DASCO products and services.
  • Managing consignment accounts, including inventory, paperwork, and the consignment process, with efficiency and cost reduction in mind.
  • Supporting a variety of branch operation functions as needed, which may include inventory, records-keeping, working reports, cross training in the branch and order-entry, while also maintaining policy and procedural compliance with HIPAA, The Joint Commission, State Respiratory Care Board, State Board of Pharmacy, and all other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Encouraging and growing relationship with hospital partnership team members.
  • Other duties as assigned by the branch office manager.

Requirements:

Your Role:

The Senior Medical Science Liaison, US Field Medical (hereafter Sr. MSL) will be responsible for managing a defined territory for assigned program. This entails establishing and maintaining key scientific relationships with KOLs within their territory and serving as a scientific expert to the medical community and facilitating the appropriate exchange of scientific information.

Role Requirements:

External Scientific Engagement

  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with key payer thought leaders, formulary decision makers, Chief Medical Officers, Chief Pharmacy Officers, and other HCDMs within assigned geography
  • Deliver fair-balanced, scientifically rigorous presentations on clinical data, real-world evidence, pharmacoeconomic models, budget impact analyses, and patient-reported outcomes (PROs)
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from payer and access stakeholders with accurate, compliant, and timely scientific content
  • Attend and represent the organization at managed care, payer, and scientific conferences to maintain awareness of current landscape issues and emerging data

HEOR Evidence Generation & Dissemination

  • Partner with internal HEOR, RWE, and Medical Affairs teams to identify evidence gaps and support the design, execution, and dissemination of field-based observational studies, retrospective analyses, and pharmacoeconomic research
  • Facilitate investigator-initiated and collaborator-initiated research proposals; coordinate with appropriate internal stakeholders for review and approval
  • Support development and communication of health economic models, cost-effectiveness analyses, and budget impact tools for payer audiences
  • Contribute to publications, posters, and abstracts for scientific meetings and peer-reviewed journals

Payer Landscape Intelligence & Insights

  • Gather and synthesize field intelligence on evolving payer policies, formulary decisions, coverage criteria, value-based contracting trends, and competitive landscape dynamics
  • Communicate insights to internal stakeholders including Medical Affairs, Market Access, HEOR, and Commercial teams to inform strategy and evidence planning
  • Monitor and interpret changes in managed care regulations, government payer policy (CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, VA/DoD), and HTA methodologies

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training

  • Serve as a scientific resource to Market Access Account Directors, Commercial teams, and other field-based colleagues; provide training on disease state, clinical data, and health economics topics
  • Collaborate with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), Global Medical Affairs, and HEOR headquarters teams to align field activities with overarching medical strategy
  • Appropriately collaborate with the Market Access team to educate and inform payers about clinical and health economic aspects of Compass Pathways' investigational and on-market products
  • Participate in advisory board activities, scientific symposia, and payer-focused medical education programs
  • Complete all required training, compliance reporting, and administrative responsibilities in accordance with corporate policy and applicable law

Candidate Profile:

  • Advanced degree required, M.D., D.O., Pharm.D., or Ph.D. preferred, in a relevant scientific or health-related discipline (health economics, pharmacoeconomics, epidemiology, health services research, public health, or clinical sciences)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the capacity of field-based liaison, working with a pharmaceutical company, presenting to and engaging with payer customers, in collaboration with the Market Access function
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in managed care, PBM, CMS/Medicare/Medicaid/VA/DoD, health care consulting, pharmaceutical industry, or a related access/HEOR environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health economics methodology, including cost-effectiveness analysis, budget impact modeling, QALYs, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses
  • Strong understanding of the US payer landscape, formulary management, and reimbursement processes
  • Proven ability to translate complex scientific and economic data into clear, compelling narratives for payer and access audiences
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50–70% of the time by car and air

Compensation Description (annually):

Our compensation package for permanent hires includes base salary, discretionary bonus, and equity, alongside our comprehensive benefits offering.

Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.

Overview

Join a highly collaborative and innovative engineering team supporting Product Verification & Validation (PV\&V) for electric machines used across a wide range of heavy equipment —including tractors, construction machinery, turf and golf products, and more. This role provides exposure to multiple product lines, diverse laboratory environments, and opportunities to incorporate automation and AI into PV\&V workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to PV\&V of electric machines by creating PV\&V plans, defining activities, entering work in internal PV\&V application, tracking progress, and reporting Activity Completion Rating (ACR) to leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to define, execute, and deliver PV\&V activities using lab tests, field tests, and electric machine teardowns to validate safety, performance, quality, reliability, and cost.
  • Interpret and implement relevant standards, specifications, and regulations as they apply to electric machines and their intended applications.
  • Execute small- to medium-scale engineering projects while following established program management processes.
  • Develop professional capabilities by participating in training, coaching, and development programs; maintain industry knowledge through ongoing education, conferences, and technical literature.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical or user documentation, ensuring appropriate file backup and version control.
  • Work with geographically distributed testing resources, including labs in Fargo (primary), North Carolina, Waterloo, Dubuque, Mexico, and India. Travel approximately every 6–8 weeks (up to 20%).

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum 2 years of experience creating PV\&V activities, plans, work requests, summaries, and scheduling PV\&V activities.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with rotating components, electric machine design, testing, or implementation.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition equipment and instrumentation (accelerometers, thermistors, current transducers, vector network analyzers, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with scheduling and prioritizing PV\&V activities.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of electric drivetrain components (inverters, connectors, energy storage systems, etc.).
  • Understanding of AI applications in PV\&V or test automation.
  • Deep analytical knowledge of electric machine types and design, including:
