Position Summary

What You'll Do

  • Provide basic medical care and treatment to participants
  • Complete health assessments and assist in developing care plans

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Marketing on lead quality and conversion.
  • Responsible for getting the Service Agreement and the Sales Order signed.
  • Handling questions and expectations from new clients as they transition from sales to implementation.
  • Assist in the following front-end implementation calls to transition the client from Sales to Implementation and to ensure the client objectives discussed in the sales process are detailed and discussed in the client's onboarding.
  • Internal Review Call: Schedule and facilitate the internal review call with the Project Manager, and initiate transitioning the client to Project Manager/Implementation.
  • Kickoff Call: Participate in the kickoff call to transition the client to Project Manager/Implementation. The kick off call is scheduled and facilitated by the Project Manager.
  • Travel required at 60% of time.
  • Other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

  • Successfully complete 12 hours of in-service training annually.
  • May assist the patient with transfers as needed.
  • Provide compassionate companionship to patients while delivering services.
  • Depending on the census, assignments may include patients in the field or in inpatient units.

Position Qualifications

  • HS Degree or GED
  • Proof of State Certification - Certified Nurse Aide
  • 1 year of direct patient care experience required
  • Demonstrate skills and written competency before working independently with the patient

The Certified Recovery Counselor is responsible for providing counseling and therapeutic clinical services to patients, providing counseling and linkage assistance within a residential environment, including responsibilities maintaining the program milieu. This position is also responsible for the overall operation of the facility in accordance with policies and procedures, current federal, state and local standards, including guidelines and regulations governing our facility to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe manner.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with residents/clients individually a minimum of once per week.
  • Facilitate group sessions as determined by the Clinical Director.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the Counselors role in client programming including the assignment and evaluation of Level Advancement assignments.
  • As part of a treatment team, collaborate on approvals of all outings and activities for residential clients.
  • Participate in family programming sessions as requested and required by the Program Director.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of clinical documentation (progress and group notes).
  • Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision if needed, and is instructed by Program Director.
  • Develop off campus meeting schedule (if deemed appropriate) for residents to attend AA, Al-Anon, and NA meetings with staff accompaniment.
  • Locate and assign alternatives to meetings in the community by accessing other resources such as Smart Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, etc.
  • Attend meetings, trainings and conferences representing Muir Wood as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the Clinical Director and Recovery Program Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years delivering counseling services to teens navigating substance use challenges and/or mental health concerns.
  • Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Social Work
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level (CADC) preferred
  • Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC) preferred
  • Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC) preferred
  • Availability to work weekends
  • Experience working with dually diagnosed individuals preferred
  • TB required and health screen, along with CPR and first aid
