Primary Level Salary Range: $155,500.00 - $233,300.00

IT Support Specialist

Are you an experienced IT professional looking for a new challenge? Join our dynamic team at Contact Discovery Services as an IT Support Specialist. We are seeking a talented individual with a passion for technology, a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. This is a hybrid role and will require presence in the Washington DC office. The qualified candidate should be a self-starter with strong communication skills as well as be highly motivated and reliable. The selected candidate will be expected to:

1. Triage, manage, and escalate issues via internal IT ticketing systems.
2. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, network and user issues including onboarding/offboarding of employees and contractors.
3. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications.
4. Assist with monitoring and maintaining computer networks, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement IT solutions.
6. Assist with system audits and ensure compliance with security protocols and ISO certification.
7. Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects.
8. Create and maintain documentation of IT systems and procedures.
9. Execute monthly OS and application patching and maintain vulnerability reporting and detection system.
10. Additional duties assigned by management.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred but not required.
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
4. Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols.
5. Experience administering Active Directory and user account permissions.
6. Experience with server administration and virtualization technologies (i.e., VMware, Hyper-V, Horizon).
7. Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including interfacing with external IT and security providers.
8. Experience with Microsoft 365, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
9. Familiarity with storage systems and their administration (i.e. Nimble, TrueNAS).
10. Proficiency in utilizing ERD tools for vulnerability management and security monitoring.
11. Experience with RMM tools and scripting/automation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully in both verbally and in written format.
2. Ability to work extended hours when necessary to ensure client deadlines are met.
3. Ability to demonstrate superior organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure in time sensitive situations.
5. Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently.
6. Ability to prioritize multiple projects with similar deadlines.
7. Ability to troubleshoot and communicate results to a team.

As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Money team, you will be involved in the entire billing process: usage ingestion, metering, pricing, credits, promotions, payments, usage reporting, and cost center and budgeting. You will collaborate with marketing, product, commercialization, data science, IT, and customer support to standardize billing experiences across major cloud providers and offer a unified "sky computation" experience. This role involves utilizing the latest Databricks products and tools within the ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage the Money systems and services, commercializing all Databricks products and offerings.
• Develop primitives to enable and support various pricing strategies such as Pay-As-You-Go, commissions, credits, trials, and promotions.
• Enhance engineering and infrastructure efficiency, reliability, accuracy, and response times, including CI/CD processes, test frameworks, data quality assurance, end-to-end reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with commercialization experts to develop and implement innovative pricing strategies and plans.
• Use AI and LLMs to innovate in cost insight, prediction, and optimization across cloud providers.
• Become an expert at using the Databricks Data + AI tools.
• Provide leadership in long-term vision and requirements development for Databricks products, in partnership with engineering teams.
• Represent Databricks at academic and industrial conferences and events.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Technical leadership experience in large projects including near real-time large data processing and distributed service infrastructure management.
• Proven track record of building, shipping, and managing reliable, distributed services and data pipelines at scale.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead across functional and organizational boundaries.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications and training, and work location. The total compensation package may include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and listed benefits. Local Pay Range $157,000 — $225,900 USD.
