Job Description

Position Purpose:

Provides feedback, coaching, training conflict resolution, and conducts audits. Identifies process constraints and incorporates appropriate decision making and problem solving techniques. Responsibilities also include providing the shift supervisor with relevant performance feedback in addition to providing daily work direction and leadership to assigned team to maintain and improve business results. Manage to establish SQDC metrics. Acts as a mentor to newer team leads.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the continuous flow of production to meet planned output while following operations standards (safety, quality, delivery, cost, maintenance), identify issues, engage the T1 team in problem resolution and understands when to escalate issues to T2 team, partnering with Value Stream Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Provide coaching and facilitate training to develop employees within the cost center/value stream, following AMS principles.
  • Completes standard work & control plan audits and ensures corrective actions are completed.
  • Focuses on improving the business through AMS tools; CI Boards, Focus Boards and Kaizens.
  • Participate & lead A3 projects focused on improving business metrics.
  • Participate and complete corrective actions from the MCA process.
  • Participate in T2 meetings & lead in the absence of the VSS.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the areas of communication, conflict resolution, process constraints and problem solving.
  • Lead and effectively communicate at daily T1/FLM meeting.
  • Maintain T1/FLM visual management tools (PVA, run charts, focus boards, and other tools) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Follows and enforces all safety procedures according to standards. Is proactive on safety concerns and takes action when appropriate.
  • Knowledge of employee capabilities and training within assigned cost center/value stream. Coordinates movement of employees according to business needs; through the development and maintaining of the cross-training matrix.
  • Participate in problem solving using AMS tools and methodology (5 Why, PDCA, MCA, CAPA, focus boards).
  • Cascades problem solving knowledge to Tier 1/FLM.
  • Lead continuous improvement within the assigned cost center/value stream.
  • Act as a mentor to VSTL I's.
  • Understand the interdependencies (manufacturing/functional groups) across the value stream.

Minimum Qualification, Skill and/or Competency Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience successfully leading work teams in the achievement of value stream goals and objectives.
  • Manufacturing Operations experience.
  • Ability to learn product, process and equipment.
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office).
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques (5S).
  • Changeover and set-up knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train and motivate employees.
  • Proven ability to problem solve, make sound decisions and delegate appropriately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven effectiveness working with others.
  • Continuous improvement experience required.
  • Proven ability to be flexible.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Successful completion of all AMS foundation courses.

Pay Range:

$24.95 - $36.15

Summary

The Manager in Training is responsible for assisting the Store Manager regarding overall operations and administrative duties. The Manager in Training is knowledgeable in each product area or department in our store. Assists in determining the methods and approaches necessary to accomplish the store's goals and initiatives. Upholds policies, procedures and standards listed in the visual manual. They must fully promote each sale and/or promotion. Serves as an ambassador of Hibbett I City Gear creating a unique customer experience helping to acquire and retain long-time customers. The Manager in Training is passionate about giving outstanding customer service and promoting the merchandise in stores. The Manager in Training assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence and is trained in the Store Manager's Responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear
  • Consults with Store Manager in establishing action plan to accomplish departmental and overall store responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
  • Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Provides knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
  • Is aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
  • Direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are completed.
  • Keeps the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
  • Assures quality customer service is maintained.
  • Performs general administrative duties as needed and is trained in the Store Manager's responsibilities.
  • Produce and give extraordinary customer service highlighted in the customer service manual, including helping customers as they enter the store, and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
  • Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
  • Practice and uphold all Hibbett I City Gear policies, procedures, and standards as listed in the operations policy manual, personnel policy manual, visual manual, customer service manual, and memos with the company's direction.
  • Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises employees in the absence of the Store Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; and resolving problems.

  • Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for evaluating and ensuring operational quality, accuracy, and compliance in DEDC's day-to-day enterprise and call center activities. Reporting directly to the Director of Compliance, this position monitors and scores all consumer-facing interactionsincluding calls, chats, and emailsto confirm adherence to regulatory standards, internal policies, and service expectations.

The QA Specialist supports the Compliance and Operations Departments by identifying training opportunities, compliance risks, and performance strengths through a consistent and measurable quality review process. This role is essential to maintaining superior customer experiences, ensuring accurate consumer communications, and supporting continual improvement of call center quality and compliance consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Monitoring & Evaluation
    • Review and assess recorded calls, chat interactions, and email communications using established QA methodology and scoring systems.
    • Evaluate customer service accuracy, professionalism, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance for each interaction.
    • Ensure assessments align with key consumer protection laws (TILA, ECOA, FCRA, GLBA, FDCPA) and DEDC internal compliance standards.

    • Maintain transparent documentation of QA scores, feedback sessions, and corrective actions to support accountability and improvement initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement & Training Support
    • Collaborate with training and operations teams to refine scripts, procedures, and compliance checkpoints.
    • Support calibration sessions across quality teams to ensure consistency in scoring and evaluation standards.
    • Help develop and deliver quality-based coaching materials to improve compliance adherence and service outcomes.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and recommend ongoing process enhancements.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
    • Ensure QA review processes remain compliant with Tribal, applicable federal, and internal regulations.
    • Contribute to proactive compliance monitoring and participation in related audits and reviews.
    • Maintain confidential records of all reviews, findings, and reports in accordance with DEDC data governance policies.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, compliance monitoring, customer service auditing, or call center operations (financial services or lending preferred).
  • Familiarity with consumer protection regulations (TILA, ECOA, GLBA, FCRA, FDCPA).
  • Strong listening, comprehension, and evaluation skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver objective performance feedback.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and QA systems or monitoring tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to consistency, fairness, and clarity.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to meet multiple deadlines.
