As a CNC Fabrication Machinist, you will operate equipment including CNC burning machines, press brake, horizontal and vertical machining centers according to company drawings, specification and workmanship standards. Pay rate and schedule: The position includes a wage of $31.18/hour (this includes a base wage of $29.93 plus an additional $1.25/hour shift differential) plus a comprehensive Day-One benefits program and on-site health and wellness! Openings available on 3rd shift: Sunday Thursday, 10:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization. Additionally, this position trains on 1st shift for up to 6 weeks (6am-2pm).

Top candidates must bring (basic requirements): 3 years' CNC machining and fabrication experience in a job shop environment OR certification in machining (combination) Ability to read fabrication blueprints/engineering drawings Ability to perform edits and set-ups on a variety of CNC machines Great candidates will also bring: Previous experience at Caterpillar Paving Brooklyn Park Understanding of geometric dimension and tolerances (GD&T) Heavy crane equipment experience Experience with basic fabrication hand tools and equipment (i.e. measuring devices, hand tools, grinder, and other special deburring tools) Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) Ability to identify and communicate tooling and machine problems Ability to read standard work, prints, and write continuous improvement cards Ability to utilize computers for production transactions Understanding of the metric measurement systems

Day to day: You will be responsible for putting safety first with a goal to prevent all injuries, occupational illnesses and safety incidents. Operate CNC fabrication equipment following engineering and manufacturing prints and documentation making adjustments for production jobs including setup and operation of all equipment/cranes with stops, clamps, fixtures, tooling, and offsets to produce consistent quality parts. Use measuring devices and blueprints to inspect parts for quality using statistical process control (SPC) for documentation. Participate in identifying and troubleshooting machine and tooling problems as needed. Use hand tools, grinders, and other special deburring tools to remove sharp edges from machine surfaces. Take initiative to identify, document and communicate problems related to machining and report discrepancies and recommend solutions. Electronically and manually maintain documentation for labor hour records, process work order and production documentation. You may also participate in preventive maintenance programs for CNC machining equipment. Support team People, Quality, Velocity and Cost (PQVC) initiatives and daily activities. Prioritize work to meet production schedules.

Here's what you can expect in this role:

  • Training first. Every hire is provided MSHA training in the first 4 days on the job. We also provide department-level training on not just what to do, but safety, as well.
  • Apply your operational aptitude to install and maintain sediment control, shoveling, and other labor types of work.
  • Working on a remote island and living in a mining camp environment away from home. Every department is slightly different, but our surface operations department works 14 days for 12.5 hours each, followed by 14 days off.
  • You'll work on civil projects such as environmental remediation, earth moving, sediment control, and other projects.
  • Safety is important. Every piece of equipment and each work area must be inspected before we start the day for your safety and the safety of your team.
  • You'll need to get TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Clearance) to assume this role and must be able to pass a background screening.

Requirements

Ability to:

  • Consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • Work varied hours primarily between the hours of 7:00 am to 11:00 pm in a 24/7 operation; including night, weekends and holidays.
  • Walk, push, pull, and maneuver grocery carts up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Reach in front and bend to pick up items at ground level.
  • Stand, walk and move rapidly for long periods of time.
  • Work out of doors in cold, hot, and inclement weather conditions.
  • Exhibit mental awareness of what is going around them for safety in the parking lot.
  • See carts needing to be gathered.
  • Exhibit customer relation skills.
  • Learn safety and department policies & procedures.
  • Hear audible requests (i.e., pages, customers asking questions).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. often from floor to 6 ft. high.
  • Ability to maneuver up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Wear reflective vest while outside.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Perform primary duties efficiently and accurately.

Additional Requirements:

  • Food Handlers Certification (Per State Laws)

Machines and Equipment Operated:

  • Cart Mover and associated remote control system.
  • Manual Pallet Jack.

Job Summary:

The Patient Sitter performs under the supervision of the Registered Nurse on an assigned unit, Charge Nurse, Nurse Director and/or In-house Supervisor. Primary responsibility is to provide patient observation for patients at an increased risk for injury due to physical or cognitive conditions. May assist with limited activities of daily living as needed (i.e. assistance with feeding, hydration, toileting, etc.). Maintains patient safety by accompanying the patient off the unit and maintaining direct contact with the patient in areas where other staff are not in constant attendance (i.e. Radiology).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains patient safety by providing direct observation and companionship.
  • Provides sufficient protection and physical support to patients while in bed or chair, toileting, ambulating, or during transportation to other departments.
  • Demonstrates consistent ability to recognize and provide for patient comfort and safety needs according to plan of care and established procedures.
  • Demonstrates consistent ability to provide safe patient positioning and ambulatory needs based on the assessment of the RN.
  • Prepares the patient and environment for meals according to plan of care, recognizing the patient's physical limitations; verifies diet sheet to ensure accuracy with the physician order.
  • Knowledge and implementation of standardized PPE regarding the prevention / transmission of infectious disease / isolation processes.
  • Maintains patient safety by accompanying the patient off the unit and maintaining direct contact with the patient in areas where other staff are not in constant attendance (i.e. Radiology).
  • Reports changes in patient status or personal care needs to licensed or nursing assistant staff in a timely manner.
