Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, or Economics.
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in applied data science, machine learning engineering, or AI research, specifically working with LLMs and traditional ML models and at least 5 years practical experience of data science or analytics from the technology sector, including but not limited to B2C SaaS, media tech, e‑commerce, social media platforms, fintech etc.
  • Hands‑on experience in designing, deploying, and monitoring large‑scale ML models with thorough understanding of lifecycle risks and controls plus strong proficiency in SQL and Python (including libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn), data analysis tools, and ML pipeline orchestration platforms.

Job Information

Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129,600 - $296,400 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Job Summary

This role requires an experienced Development Team Lead and Systems Engineer to perform as a Scrum Team Project Manager (SPM) in the IC environment. This role has direct leadership and interaction with one or more development teams and acts as a key customer liaison with basic technical knowledge about web and mobile application development. The SPM supports the Agile Release Train Program Manager (ART PM) and Technical Lead (TL) in developing Epics, Features and application roadmaps for the design and development of new and existing applications. The SPM also performs risk management, identifies mitigation strategies, and develops implementation timelines based on a tailored SAFe Agile DevSecOps environment. This role works with internal systems engineers to ensure customer priorities are planned through the implementation lifecycle. Experience with requirements management, portfolio management, Lean Six Sigma, and other optimization methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities

This role is responsible for technical planning and coordination between Agile teams and mission customers; it also includes coordination of verification, validation, and deployments.

  • Provide systems engineering and integration support to the government for the integration of newly developed Capabilities targeted for Integration test and operational environments and develop and deliver the processes to perform integration, staging, and release management for these Capabilities.
  • At the direction and guidance of the Government, provide the orchestration services necessary to ensure that VC workflow management Capabilities align with program processes.
  • Provide methods to automatically deploy existing or newly identified services, COTs and GOTs products, custom code, and software developed by the Government to provide an overall solution that meets program and product owner objectives.
  • A strategic business partner to help customers achieve their mission outcomes and drive innovation throughout the engagement life cycle through iterative feedback mechanisms.
  • Use agile delivery methodology to lead project teams consisting of business and technical resources while managing scope, schedule, and cost to create and execute a plan to achieve project goals.
  • The SPM tracks the team's work to the completion of all deliverables accepted into a PI; coordinates with team members and customer sets to ensure stories have all the information needed to complete the work and that all necessary stories are created; and coordinates/socializes production changes and briefs appropriate boards for deployment approval.

Basic Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of common Agile practices, service‑oriented environments, development practices, Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment, with experience as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
  • Thorough understanding of interfaces, formats, languages, and systems (minimum): standard web services protocols (e.g., SOAP, REST), JAVA, PHP, JBOSS, Tomcat, Linux, Windows, and Python.
  • Experience with delivery of an integrated solution using Agile software delivery techniques.
  • Experience in integrating software, COTs, GOTS, FOSS, and Capabilities into a baseline and making them an operational whole.
  • Experience with integrating security components with applications and databases and a thorough understanding of integrating systems and databases of varying architecture.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services.
  • 5+ years’ integration engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 or more years of experience and consideration of work experience in lieu of a degree.
