About Medical Directors at MedVet

We know that hospital leadership is pivotal to our success. We leverage a Dyad Model – the hospital’s Medical Director (MD) works collaboratively with the Hospital Director (HD) to lead the Healthcare Team. The MD, who reports to a Regional Medical Director, is the local Medical Services leader and oversees all specialty and emergency doctors. The MD promotes a culture that supports the development of engaged and empowered caregivers (employees) who deliver the MedVet Experience in a healthy and sustainable manner while living MedVet’s core values of teamwork, leadership, and compassion.

The MD partners with their dyad HD to improve and sustain MedVet’s focus on evaluating, planning, and implementing the delivery of best‑in‑class healthcare to MedVet patients in support of our mission: Leading Specialty Healthcare for Pets. Successful dyad leadership provides representation of all caregivers, fosters diversity of thought, and leverages the variable experience and skill of our Medical Services and Clinical Services teams.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Foster a culture that supports continuous improvement and the development of engaged and empowered caregivers.
  • In partnership with the Hospital Director (HD), serve as an overall leader for the hospital, directing both Emergency and Specialty services (Dyad Leadership).
  • Lead and direct the Medical Services teams in the hospital, including doctor hiring, onboarding, development, and management of doctor performance issues, partnering with Clinical Services, HR, or other teams as needed. Continually evaluate hiring needs and opportunities for practice growth, working in partnership with the Medical Recruiting team.
  • Responsible for managing overall department workflows and ensuring patient care is delivered efficiently, safely, and compassionately.
  • Responsible for doctor scheduling, department meetings, and other doctor‑facing communications.
  • Works with the HD to ensure the Clinical Services team has the resources and tools to deliver high‑quality patient, client, and referral partner experience.
  • Works with the HD to manage overall hospital financial results, including inventory/supplies and other expenses.
  • Work collaboratively with the HD, Regional Medical Director (RMD), and VP of Clinical Services and Finance to prepare and manage the Hospital and Capital budgets.
  • Work with the RMD to lead the hospital’s annual Operational Plan strategy and execution.
  • Foster a culture supportive of Referral Partner outreach and CE activities to ensure strong and growing Referral Partner relationships. Ensure doctors are participating in the appropriate Referral Partner outreach and coach them on how to build Referral Partner relationships effectively so they can grow their practice.
  • Oversee patient care issues, Referral Partner concerns, and responses to client complaints, personally handling escalated client and Referral Partner issues. Interacts with regulatory boards as needed.

Who You Are

  • Have demonstrated leadership with a strong track record of success during times of change, transformation, and rapid growth.
  • Have at least 5‑7 years of progressive growth and experience in a veterinary organization.
  • Have the capability to effectively manage conflict in highly emotional situations with grace and maturity.
  • Board‑certified veterinary specialists, experienced ER veterinarians, veterinarians with military leadership, veterinarians with animal health leadership, or veterinarians with equivalent experience are ideal.

Based on the current incentive plan, your total yearly compensation for full-time 1.0 FTE position will be $240,000 per year for your first two years. The current average compensation for 32 patient‑facing hours a week of clinical effort is $267,000 per year and the maximal compensation at 36 clinical hours a week is estimated at $320,000. Any salary changes will be limited to the salary setting periods, which is July 1. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Qualifications

Company Overview:

Coplas Inc. an affiliate of Tiercon Corp. is an automotive supplier committed to the design, manufacture and assembly of quality exterior trim and assembled systems used as original equipment in the automotive market. Headquartered in Sterling Heights Michigan, Coplas employs approximately 50 employees. Coplas is seeking knowledgeable, self‑directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Team Leader in our Quality department.

Job Summary & Reporting Structure:

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Team Leader is responsible for ensuring quality requirements on the production floor are met. They will be responsible for maintaining workflows in production by monitoring steps of the process; training production employees, correcting quality concerns and at all times ensuring the ongoing adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 Quality System and encouraging continuous improvement wherever possible. This role is to cover the Midnight Shift 11:00pm-7:00am and or/ the Afternoon Shift 3:00pm-11:00pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the quality of products in accordance with Company Quality Policy and Objectives
  • Perform duties that reflect compliance to Company's Quality Management System (QMS) as recorded in the organization’s Quality Manual
  • Demonstrate conformance to regulations recorded in supplied Employee Handbook
  • Perform quality inspection duties (first/last off, in process inspections)
  • Train new and existing employees
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
  • Visually inspect produced parts for defects and report flaws immediately to management
  • Measure and check fixtures, record data in spreadsheets. Perform data analysis to ensure accuracy of production requirements.
  • Disposition nonconforming parts into appropriate container to prevent contamination of finished goods
  • Detect and report machine malfunctions promptly to management and immediately notify Supervisor or Quality of all discrepancies to established quality checks (ie, sample boards, inspection instructions, Quality Alerts, etc.)
  • Package and transport produced parts as needed
  • Participate in team problem solving activities (ie, 8D's, communication meetings, etc.)
  • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
  • Resolve problems by analyzing data, investigate issues, identify solutions, recommend corrective action in accordance with continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track and submit statistics on the cost of poor quality
  • Track performance of layered audits (e.g. track number of audits completed)Troubleshoot equipment problems to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds
  • Promote continuous improvement in all areas
  • Other duties as assigned
  • ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent work experience at minimum
  • 2 years prior work experience in plastics or automotive industry is an asset
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Supervision experience an asset
