Overview:

In partnership with the Department of Youth & Community Development (DYCD), Housing Works launched the CRED Program, a new specialized 24‑week paid training program for justice‑involved and justice‑impacted individuals ages 25–40. The program provides case management, connection to wraparound health services, industry‑recognized credential trainings, paid internships and employment placement and retention support.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Job Developer will develop and maintain relationships with NYC employers in the sectors of maintenance and infrastructure and culinary food service, provide individualized career‑development support to program participants, match clients with employers and career paths of interest, facilitate employer education presentations, participate in networking activities, develop innovative career pathways, maintain account management systems, facilitate work‑readiness groups, and provide individual vocational counseling.

The role requires knowledge of the criminal legal system and the barriers associated with previous legal involvement, as well as experience in workforce development and building employer relationships.

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative internship and career pathways for clients enrolled in the program.
  • Create and maintain career maps to assist clients with preparing and navigating the specified workforce sectors.
  • Participate in community outreach and networking activities.
  • Utilize Labor Market Index (LMI) reports to generate lists of NYC employers for strategic and targeted outreach efforts.
  • Lead the business development component of the program and present to team members on labor market availability and current partnerships.
  • Facilitate work readiness groups.
  • Conduct individual vocational counseling sessions with clients enrolled in the program to address workforce development and work readiness skills building.
  • Match clients with employers and internship partners that align with their training and career goals.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and reporting in the designated account management data system.
  • Document client services accurately and thoroughly in the designated case records systems.
  • Ensure contract deliverables specific to this position’s responsibilities are met.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate program reports.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Provide culturally competent services in accordance with Housing Works policies and practices.
  • Promote Housing Works core values consistently.
  • Work with diverse clients with varying levels of service needs.
  • Collaborate with other team members within the Justice Initiatives Department and cross‑agency.

Other Functions

  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
  • Respond to emails, texts and phone calls.
  • Adhere to remote work policies, procedures and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in social services, psychology, social work or other related field.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in business development or workforce.
  • Experience placing individuals with legal backgrounds in employment or career opportunities.
  • Strong written documentation and communication skills.
  • Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOC clearance.
  • Experience utilizing EMR systems.

Additional Competencies:

  • Preferably bilingual in Spanish.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent or proficient technical skills to perform tasks related to Microsoft Office, email and case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
  • Dependability and reliability to arrive and depart timely for scheduled shift.
  • Ability to frequently travel within the boroughs via public transportation.

About The Role
Kanopi Studios is seeking a WordPress Technical Lead (aka Senior Engineer II) to join our collaborative, fun, and fully distributed team. In this leadership role, you'll drive technical execution across client projects, mentor developers, shape architectural decisions, and ensure delivery excellence—all while getting to build alongside a talented team. This position reports to our WordPress Engineering Manager.
As a WordPress Technical Lead, you will combine hands-on development with team leadership and strategic planning. You'll work directly with clients, project managers, and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and guide the project team toward successful outcomes. You'll be responsible for estimating, architecting, coding, and mentoring—all while helping uphold Kanopi's high standards of quality, collaboration, and inclusion.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have experience with the following:

  • Leading the technical approach on WordPress projects and ensuring development is on track and aligned with client needs
  • Collaborating with UX, design, and PM teams during the discovery and planning phases
  • Building and configuring WordPress sites using modern development practices
  • Developing native Gutenberg blocks using React and building custom themes and plugins
  • Creating HTML templates and patterns optimized for full-site editing
  • Providing architectural guidance and mentoring to team members
  • Writing and reviewing code and technical documentation
  • Leading code peer reviews and encouraging team best practices
  • Meeting directly with clients to clarify requirements and discuss technical challenges and solutions
  • Managing the technical team's workload and offering continuity across phases of the project lifecycle
About The Compensation And Work Requirements
This is a full-time position. The salary range for this position is $92,050 - $121,825 - the range is broad, but it is commensurate with experience, aligned with current members of our team with similar experience, and may shift a bit depending on your geographic location. This is a 100% remote role, but you must live and be able to work in the US or Canada.

  • 8+ years of WordPress experience in a professional setting
  • Comfortable working in support roles and open to doing so
  • Deep expertise with WordPress architecture and custom development (themes, plugins, full-site editing, Gutenberg blocks)
  • Proficient in Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), CPTs, taxonomies, and integrating with the REST API
  • Strong understanding of full-site editing (FSE), templates, and block patterns
  • Skilled in JavaScript and React (Next.js a plus), along with solid PHP and SQL experience
  • Familiar with development tools and workflows like CLI, GitHub, Docker, and multi-environment deployment
  • Deep understanding of modern web standards and technologies
  • Strong writing and documentation skills, with experience creating technical specs and process documentation
  • Experience mentoring or leading developers and managing distributed teams
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and keep development aligned with timelines and scope
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative, inclusive approach to problem solving

Who You Are:
  • 4+ years of industry experience working on robotics software, numerical software, high-performance software, or a closely related discipline
  • Highly proficient with C++ and competent with Python
  • Solid understanding of computer systems fundamentals. You know how to make complex software run fast
  • Ideally, having previous experience with robotics systems, embedded perception systems, or similar soft-real-time environments
  • Ideally, having previous experience with general purpose GPU computing (CUDA preferred)
  • You are eager to design, collaborate on, and deliver pragmatic solutions to technical challenges
  • A bachelor's (pref. Master's) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Robotics, or a related technical field

Team Introduction

Internal Audit plans and executes audit projects according to our risk‑based audit plan, and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of financial, compliance, operational, and IT processes and controls. We collaborate with business functions in addressing risks and improving the control environment through timely and comprehensive audit work and remediation action tracking.

On‑site presence across teams allows the company to operate with greater speed, alignment, and agility — especially in areas like real‑time decision‑making, team development, and integrated execution. As such, the company is shifting from a hybrid work model to a fully in‑person schedule up to 5 days a week.

  • Develop and execute IT audit plans, conduct risk assessments, and perform IT audit testing independently.
  • Lead all phases of IT audits, from planning and fieldwork to reporting and remediation tracking.
  • Conduct effective reviews of IT audits, providing value‑added feedback to team members.
  • Quantify technology risk exposure and clearly articulate business impacts of findings.
  • Assess IT general controls (ITGCs), cybersecurity frameworks, cloud security, data privacy, and SDLC controls.
  • Evaluate emerging IT risks and proactively identify control gaps in technology and security processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of IT audit experience, ideally in a technology company, consulting firm, or highly regulated industry.
  • Solid understanding of Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) and COSO framework.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of IT risk assessment, ITGCs, cybersecurity controls, cloud computing, and IT frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, COBIT).

Experience and Qualifications

  • Over 8 years of hands‑on experience with RSA Archer, including expertise in versions 6 and above, core solutions, and on‑demand applications.
  • Familiarity with Archer SaaS implementations and their unique configuration and deployment considerations.
  • Exposure to Business Continuity platforms such as Everbridge and BC in the Cloud is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to design and configure Archer solutions, including layouts, advanced workflows, reporting, notifications, questionnaires, access controls, packaging, and installation.
  • Skilled in configuring data‑driven events, calculations, data feeds, imports, and integrations with both internal and external systems.
  • Adept at analyzing business needs and providing thoughtful recommendations for solution design and implementation.
  • Experience delivering functional production support for Archer, Auditboard, and other Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to debug complex configuration issues efficiently.
  • Support data migration and validation efforts to ensure accuracy and integrity of information.

Desired Skills

  • Archer Professional Certification (Admin 1 and Admin 2)
  • Experience with Archer GRC, Third‑party Risk Management, Issues Management, and/or Operational Risk Management

Local data professionals regularly interact with our students through teaching classes, speaking at seminars, sponsoring internships, and supervising capstone projects. Faculty members actively engage with industry partners and sponsors to assess our curricula and update learning objectives to provide the most up-to-date skills for supporting innovations in this region.

The department is an academic hub, in partnership with other SJSU departments and industry partners, for promoting education and research in applied data science. To address the immense demand for data science professionals, the department launched an MS in Data Analytics program in August 2018. This program provides students with the advanced education necessary to draw insights from real data and apply analytical skills to solve practical problems. Currently, 200 students are enrolled in the program, with continued plans for future growth.

Brief Description of Duties

  • Lecturers are expected to teach their courses effectively; to maintain appropriate office hours in accordance with University Policy; and to cooperate with the department in the peer-review process. Lecturers are strongly encouraged to seek guidance from Department Chair for clarification of University policies and department practices with respect to grading, testing, textbooks, office hours, curriculum goals, disability accommodations, academic integrity, etc.

Compensation

Salary range placement is determined by qualifications and experience. The rates shown below by range are the anticipated salary from the applicable Faculty Salary Schedule - 2322 to be paid per WTU in Special Session programs (a typical course is 3 WTUs). Information Systems Operations Specialist

In collaboration with firm support professionals, the Operations Specialist will deploy, secure, maintain, track, and assess the firm’s telecommunications, networking, server, and storage equipment infrastructure inventory across all offices and locations. This will involve communication between various Information Systems departments, solutions research, planning and coordination of on-site testing, troubleshooting, systems maintenance and systems lifecycle support.
