The Shipping Room Operator selects products to be loaded onto trucks for delivery to our Publix stores. This includes: loading and unloading trailers, operating a palletizer and tow motor and records inventory paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintains and cleans equipment in work area
  • Performs team assignments
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Willingness to obtain forklift license after training
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more frequently
  • Ability to pull 180-200 pounds across a slick surface

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.

Other Compensation Information

Starting pay is $1.00 to $2.00 above pay range minimum depending on experience or applicable skill level. Weekend Differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides screening, evaluation, and rehabilitation services for patients with speech and language disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency. This position plans and carries out specialized treatment programs, documents treatment, and maintains data regarding patient care. This position demonstrates the clinical competence and knowledge necessary to provide treatment appropriate to the age of the patients served.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Evaluates patients' functional abilities and limitations to determine appropriate intervention. Develops a plan of care and treatment goals, as ordered by physician or other referral source.

2. Implements individualized treatment plans that consider patients' physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs. Ensures that treatment plans are supported by standard practices and/or current literature. Re-evaluates treatment plans, as needed, to ensure maximum patient benefit.

3. Educates patients, family, and other care providers to promote patient participation and attainment of therapeutic program goals. Provides individualized home programs with clear instructions.

4. Documents patient treatment according to professional and regulatory standards.

5. Participates in the provision of training to other staff and students.

6. Follows plan of care to accomplish functions within established procedures and scope of practice. Makes independent judgments based on specialized knowledge. Confers with supervisor on any unusual situations. Internal customers: All levels of nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: Physician offices, patient families, third party payers, and medical supply companies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university program.

Current licensure in the state of practice. Certificate of Clinical Competence or documented acceptance in Clinical Fellowship Year. BLS certification required.

Requires the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers. Must have strong interpersonal communications and human relation skills.

Must have the ability to become proficient with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient care environment.   • Represents the projects and the project core teams in front of the Project Approval Committee (PAC) and the Leadership Team (LST). Prepares and presents comprehensive project reviews and status reports. This includes the presentation of the project at stage gate reviews to the management.
  • Assists in continuous improvement to our project management and product development process. This includes conducting of virtual and in-person trainings on Product Commercialization for Hygiena staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Life Sciences (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Microbiology) or related field, or equivalent education and work experience required.
  • Professional training in Project Management required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in running and developing PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA and lateral flow tests preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
