Drivers in this program work with an experienced J.B. Hunt driver trainer for six weeks before transitioning to a full-time position upon successful completion. Driver will be paid $200 per day during training.
This position is paid an hourly rate for all hours worked plus an activity-based bonus payment. The activity-based bonus payment is the sum of your eligible activity pay less your base hourly earnings for the week.

- Office work: $315 per day
- Long haul pay: $35 per load
- Mandatory meetings: $28 per hour
- Mechanical breakdown: $22 per hour
- Rail delay: $22 per hour
- Safety training: $21 per hour
- Truck order not used: $20 per occurrence
- Refused delivery: $38 per occurrence
- Waiting on power unit: $22 per hour
- Yard work: $22 per hour
- Rest breaks paid at the hourly rate, plus an additional amount for the activity-based bonus payment.
