MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine physician to join our team as Assistant Program Director for our long-standing, highly successful Family Medicine Residency Program in Waterloo, Iowa. For over 44 years, our program has produced outstanding Family Physicians who serve Northeast Iowa and beyond.

Position Highlights

Academic Leadership: Actively teach and mentor residents in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.

Inpatient Component:

- Supervise and educate residents on the Family Medicine inpatient service, including adult medicine and newborn care (OB optional).

- Oversee resident performance and education during inpatient rotations, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care.

Outpatient Component:

- Supervise residents in continuity clinic and procedure clinic.

- Provide direct patient care in the clinic setting.

- Quality Improvement: Lead 12 program-wide quality improvement projects annually.

Didactics: Deliver 1012 lectures per year on core Family Medicine topics.

Resident Advising: Serve as faculty advisor for approximately 5 residents.

Administrative Duties: Participate in program administration, curriculum development, and faculty meetings.

Typical Weekly Structure:

4 half-days: Inpatient teaching/service

23 half-days: Resident clinic supervision

The team member in this position checks trucks in and out using WMS and is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the trailer loading/unloading to include the pallet handling process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Management/Supervision

  • Provide overall financial management and oversight to all corps and 360 service centers within the NCI Division.
  • Provide training and consultation to Corps Officers, Envoys and Executive Administrators (hereinafter "Business Leaders") in the areas of planning, execution and evaluation of financial activities or matters, including researching and resolving questions as required.
  • Provide leadership to Finance department staff that ensures good customer service to clients, adherence to Salvation Army policies and procedures, timely and accurate reporting, enthusiasm for the goals and objectives of the NCI Division and Finance department, and a high level of commitment to The Salvation Army.
  • Directly supervise Senior Accountants Corps and collaborate with the Accounting Manager Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, Accounting Manager General Fund, Director of Finance Chicago City Fund and Director of Finance Central Illinois Area Command.

Planning/Administration

  • Oversee the documentation or workflows and procedures for Senior Accountants to ensure timely and quality reporting while maintaining supporting documentation and workpapers for Statements of Financial Positions (Balance Sheets), revenue reconciliation and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional Director of Finance in management and planning of both short-term and long-term department goals and objectives.
  • Provide support to the Divisional Director of Finance as requested.

Financial Services/Activities

  • Provide financial consultation to department directors, Business Leaders and Finance Department staff as required.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial report, and variance analyses that are presented to and reviewed by the Divisional Finance Board and various corps advisory boards, corps councils and business councils.
  • Oversee financial analyses and forecasts for all Corps on a regular basis, including offering effective and appropriate recommendations, responses and actions for the Corps to be able to ensure they are operating effectively within the Salvation Army's mission.
  • Ensure financial statements are following requirements of funding sources, Salvation Army policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Manage Corps' cash flow needs on a regular basis, providing recommendations as required in coordination with the Divisional Director of Finance.
  • Review, analyze and provide recommendations relating to Corps annual operating budgets, and mid-year budget revisions, if necessary, in coordination with the Director of Internal Audit & Budgeting as well as the Divisional Director of Finance.
  • Provide in-depth analysis, recommendations and training to enable Corps to recover and sustain financial stability, including providing the Divisional Finance Board with regular status reports relating to a Corps debt recovery plan if applicable.
  • Assist with the FASB consolidation preparation and supporting schedules submitted annually to THQ, including reviewing eliminations for propriety and accuracy.
  • Assist with Internal Audit in coordination with the Director of Internal Audit & Budgeting as well as the Divisional Director of Finance, reviewing for compliance with Territorial Internal Audit Requirements and appropriateness/usefulness as a resource to Corps Officers and their advisory boards or councils.
  • Coordinate and assist with the preparation of items for the external audits of the various corps or programs that are required to have external audits.
  • Assist the Divisional Director of Finance in assuring that Divisional accounting practices are in accordance with Salvation Army guidelines and expectations.
  • Oversee non-governmental grants, including tracking of funds, initiating invoices, and managing the Acumatica grant module

LOCATION: NORTHBROOK APARTMENTS

Your Role

We’re currently seeking a talented and courteous person to join our team as a Groundskeeper. Our grounds people are almost always the company representatives that our residents have the most interaction with. Since this is the case, we’re looking for someone who is not only technically competent, but who can put customer service first and provide an outstanding experience to our residents. 

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for maintaining the overall curb appeal of the property
  • Complete daily checklist 
  • Maintain exterior mats 
  • Monitor exterior lighting 
  • Pick up trash and cigarette butts 
  • Straighten pool furniture 
  • Monitor grills and clean daily
  • Monitor bootleg signage 
  • Empty exterior trash cans
  • Wear safety back belt 
  • Monitor condition of flags and poles 
  • Touch up paint exterior items 
  • Monitor water and irrigation system 
  • Monitor tree, shrub, & flower condition
  • Maintain breezeways and sidewalks

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay is dependent on experience.
  • Overtime and on-call duties will be necessary on a planned schedule.
