Position Overview

Join our team as a Veterinary Assistant who supports the veterinarians and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment, feeding, exercising and grooming patients, preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, restraining and handling patients, and clerical and administrative work. They deliver quality care for all patients and provide exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care to all patients
  • Greet patients and their owners as they arrive and show them to an examining room, taking the patient's weight and other vital signs upon arrival
  • Triage patients, perform physical exams, treatments, and administer medication as directed by the licensed veterinary technicians (LVT's).
  • Calm and soothe anxious patients
  • Assist doctors and technicians with the administration of medications or with patient restraint
  • Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs
  • Operate and maintain hospital equipment, including EKG, fluid pump, syringe pump, scales, anesthetic monitors, and machines, etc.
  • Fill prescriptions, calculate and administer medications, maintain proper documentation, logging, and security of controlled drugs.
  • Feed patients as prescribed by the attending doctor or as the client has requested; record appetites; recognize and report any unusual conditions or abnormal behaviors
  • Communicate in a positive manner with clients and ensure that they feel comfortable leaving their pet(s)
  • Educate clients about insurance, wellness, and medicinal plans
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital each day; clean equipment, kennels, and facilities using chemicals and supplies; ensure the safe use of chemicals; complete laundry
  • Bath and care for patients who stay overnight; ensure that every animal released is clean and properly groomed prior to their release
  • Adhere to the hospital's safety and wellness regulations
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Show up for work regularly; full-time presence at work is essential for every shift
  • Promote hospital products and services and support the organization
  • Respond respectfully with urgency to directions given by Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT).
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager; may have other assigned duties if working in a specialty area (i.e., dentistry, surgery, emergency, radiology, cardiology, neurology, internal medicine, etc.)

Qualifications (Required)

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a veterinary assistant
  • One year of surgical experience required

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:45AM-6PM with rotating weekends (one day off during work week)

This position is for a full time Asset Manager to work in our corporate office in Honolulu, HI. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/training/experience. Ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years in affordable housing.1+ years reporting to and working with agencies such as HUD, TCAC, CHFA, HOME, USRDA, HCD, RHCP, and investors. Salary range: $85,500.00 - 140,600.00 per year; hiring range for new employees is generally $85,500.00 - $113,050.00 per year, DOE. Please note an offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate and the current salary level of individuals working at EAH in a similar role.

Position Overview

Directly responsible for ensuring the long-term financial and physical health of EAH properties and that the properties meet EAH, owner, and lender requirements. Acting on own initiative is responsible for reviewing and analyzing the portfolio against benchmark performance and assisting in the development of corrective action plans to address Watch List property issues. This position is integrally involved in monitoring budget-to-actual variances and communicating issues and proposed solutions to Real Estate Management (REM) and Real Estate Development (RED) departments as well as Senior Management.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as primary contact for lenders, investors, and regulatory agencies for budget approvals.
  • Reviews and distributes annual audits to lenders, investors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Submits monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as required by lenders, investors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Works with REM Directors/Property Supervisors to analyze budgets against EAH benchmarks and goals and proposes creative solutions to operating cash flow, financial ratio issues, and long-term capital needs.
  • Works with the Compliance Director to confirm Maximum Rent, establish rent burden policies, and set goals for annual rent adjustments/increases.
  • Reviews budgets and participates in budget review meetings to ensure properties are meeting rent increase objectives, affordability, operating expenses per unit, reserve funding, EAH affiliate fees, and surplus cash distribution goals required under all agreements or regulations.
  • Assists the Budget Committee to refine current procedures and workflow.
  • Reviews, tracks, and submits all reserve draw requests.
  • Reviews long-term capital plans for portfolio properties.
  • Monitors portfolio to ensure that operating expenses are in line with budget and that variance explanations meet EAH and investor/lender requirements.
  • Manages LIHTC capital accounts through annual analysis and exit tax projections.
  • Ensures that all financial plans and regulatory agreements meet asset management requirements.
  • Reports quarterly in the Asset Management meeting with any issues.
  • Provides enhanced review and analysis of Watch List properties and properties outside of established benchmarks.
  • Monitors properties moving into operations and ensures that these properties meet pro forma performance through the first complete fiscal year of full operations. Prepares DCR worksheets for perm loan closing.
  • Completes Asset Management Plans and summary reports as required.
  • Maintains and updates fields and information in MRI including important dates and loan information as required.
  • Identifies and creates reports in Yardi and MRI to help assist Property Supervisors and Senior Management.
  • In collaboration with REM, prepares initial operating budgets for RED to incorporate into their development proformas.
  • Attends agency/investor-sponsored training.
  • Attends mandatory meetings and training.
  • Actively participates in EAH's Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Collaborate with the Incoming Quality, Manufacturing, and Inventory departments to ensure delivery of quality products. This role plays a key role in maintaining consistent production standards and driving process improvements. The primarily focus is processing and disposition of scrap and non-conforming material (NCM).


· Process red-tagged items identified during production. 

· Conduct daily reviews with Production to assess rejected materials. 

· Categorize failure types for internal discrepancies. 

· Monitor, organize, and dispose of scrap from production. 

· Sort and organize NCM items by vendor.

· Assist with packaging and labeling of returned items. 

· Execute bin and inventory transfers. 

· Perform inventory adjustments in NetSuite. 

· Support continuous improvement initiatives.

· Perform process compliance audits.

· Participate in ongoing training for NetSuite, WMS, and Excel. 

  • Process VRAs/RMAs for non-conforming materials and incoming quality issues. 
  • Communicate directly with vendors to initiate and coordinate returns. 
  • Research item history in NetSuite to support return decisions. 
  • Utilize T-Force and other shipping methods for product returns. 
  • Perform SKU conversions as needed.

  • Provide coverage for patient visits, assessments, and urgent social work needs as requested. 

  • Assist with facility outreach, complex case management, and team communication when available. 

  • Support the clinical team during periods of high census, staff PTO, or unexpected needs. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program (preferred); Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) considered with strong home health or medical social work experience. 

  • Current state Social Worker license (LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent). 

  • 1–2 years of case management experience in home health, hospice, hospital, or community health setting. 

  • Experience working with diverse populations and navigating community resources. 

  • Strong assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and care coordination skills. 

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to conduct home visits. 

  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and community resource programs. 

  • Familiarity with EMR documentation systems ALORA Plus preferred.
