About the Role:
Due to a pending retirement and provider vacations Pennsylvania Cancer Specialists and Research Institute is seeking a passionate Hematologist Oncologist to assist our dedicated team PRN/Part-Time, 2-3 days a week in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will provide comprehensive cancer care, including evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management, in close collaboration with experienced colleagues. You will practice in a supportive, resource-rich environment that combines advanced technology with a strong commitment to personalized care. Full-time providers see an average of 8 to 10 patients per clinic day and perform 30 to 40 procedures per week. They are fully supported in all work by a dedicated team of clinical and operational support staff.
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- varicose vein procedures
- endovenous ablations
- sclerotherapy
- microphlebectomy
- wound care
- venous insufficiency treatments
- new patient consultations
- follow-up visits
The nurse practitioners are increasingly performing consultations and follow-ups, allowing physicians to focus on procedures. As such, the exact make-up of a daily schedule and procedural volume are flexible and will be decided mutually between the new physician and the physician-owner during the hiring process.
This position will cover two office locations - Easton and Annapolis - which are approximately a 60-minute drive apart. The exact schedule will be mutually agreed upon by the practice and new physician at the time of hire. All procedures are currently done in Annapolis.
The office uses the Streamline MD EHR.
