Position Purpose:
We value the safety of our associates! The Maintenance Mechanic keeps our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings and ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently according to its specific tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities.
  • Performs general electrical and/or repairs of and various equipment on company premises.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
  • Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.
  • Perform battery changes daily on PIT machines
  • Trash and cardboard line maintenance and cleaning
  • Obtains work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
  • Performs daily safety checks.
  • Performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment within guidelines of processes and standards.
  • Maintains, replaces, builds, adjusts, and modifies the facilities, buildings, and the grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties and keep maintenance area orderly and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary reports and paperwork.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris doctor from an accredited law school and admittance to a state bar (active)

Compensation: $105,000 to $130,000 per year, based on experience

Your Role.

As a strategic function, the Director of Insurance Operations will play a key role in Signal’s risk management program by identifying, analyzing and communicating risks that affect Signal’s business. This role will oversee a team that has ownership of and/or support multiple disciplines within Signal corporate insurance program with oversight of franchisees’ insurance programs.  Current areas of insurance that this role will support include Property, General Liability, Worker’s Compensation, Cyber, Automobile Liability, Directors and Officers Liability, Umbrella/Excess Liability, in addition to Crime and Fiduciary Liability.  The Director of Insurance Operations will also have ownership of insurance claims and will support the CEO with Signal enterprise-wide risk management program as needed.  This role will interact across the organization on a variety of insurance and risk management issues, which impact our businesses and functional groups.

What You’ll Do in This Role

Risk & Insurance Management 70%

  • Identify, assess, communicate, and prioritize overall risk and loss information.
  • Manage the network’s open claims, partnering with loss adjusters, brokers, and internal customers, including Legal, Finance, Accounting, Property Management, and Construction, to achieve effective claims resolution.
  • Coordinate with brokers and internal customers to obtain required underwriting data for the placement of Signal’s insurance policies.
  • Partner with brokers to identify and implement solutions to Franchisee insurance challenges, including potential master policies, preferred market coverage, captives, and other insurance solutions.
  • Implement oversight and audit processes to ensure all Franchisees meet minimum insurance requirements outlined in their franchise agreements.
  • Prepare, analyze, and communicate insurance placement submissions and insurance market presentation information as needed.
  • Participate in insurance broker, captive, and insurance market meetings as needed.
  • Review and interpret Signal’s insurance policies to ensure policy language is appropriate and coverage aligns with organizational needs. Partner with insurance brokers and coverage counsel to ensure purchased policies provide the intended coverage.
  • Communicate summaries of Signal’s insurance policies, coverage, and key provisions to management as needed.
  • Prepare executive summaries outlining the overall status of claims and identify opportunities to reduce loss exposure and strengthen risk mitigation strategies.
  • Attend mediations and provide leadership in the negotiation and resolution of claims.
  • Serve as the point of contact for complex insurance and claims management processes and procedures.
  • Oversee Signal’s Risk Management Information System (RMIS), including maintenance, enhancements, and upgrade planning.

Team Management 20%

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the insurance team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability across the team.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team culture focused on responsiveness, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and monitor team performance and key departmental metrics, taking corrective action when necessary.

Strategic Partnership & Support 10%

  • Partner with senior leadership and other departments to align insurance strategies and initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Support and provide insurance and claims data as needed for annual budget preparation.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders on insurance, claims, risk management, and loss exposure.

Qualifications/knowledge:

  • Undergraduate degree. Preferably, in risk management, finance, economics, business administration, statistics, marketing, management or equivalent.
  • Ten years of overall insurance operations and risk management principles.
  • Adept in litigation management and satisfactory outcomes.
  • Experience with insurance programs, loss analysis, and captive insurance programs with focus in property and casualty lines is highly preferred.
  • Industry certifications, including ARM, AIC, CPCU are strongly preferred.
  • Unimpeachable integrity.

The Office Environment:

As part of the company, you can expect to work in a standard office setting where there is a positive team atmosphere.
