We are currently seeking a Full-Time, Psychiatrist to join our skilled and patient focused team.

About the role:

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
• Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
• One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
• Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Board certification in psychiatry
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.

A hospital in the Marquette, Michigan area is booking a Michigan-licensed gastroenterologist for five blocks in 2027 and wants the same physician for every block: 3/28 to 4/5, 7/26 to 8/1, 8/28 to 9/1, 9/27 to 10/1, and 11/24 to 11/27. Pay is $440/hr for the clinical day, $700 for each weekday overnight call, and $2,100 for each 24-hour weekend call day. Callback pays $440/hr. • Olympus Health coordinates and performs physical evaluations for state agencies supporting individuals applying for government services in Michigan and multiple other states around the country.
  
• We provide this service one or two Saturdays per month, ensuring there is no conflict with your current professional schedule. Each clinic day typically runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, depending on the number of scheduled evaluations.

PERTINENT INFORMATION

• As the provider, you will provide disability examinations and evaluations that primarily test the claimant s function and range of motion.
• Conduct basic physical evaluations using a structured, easy to follow template
• Perform assessments solely for the purpose of assisting the State of Michigan in determining eligibility for government programs
• Document findings clearly and professionally
• Not establish a doctor patient relationship
• Not provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice

We are an established medical practice serving Indianapolis and the surrounding area performing evaluations on patients with swallowing disorders. Presently we are in need of additional physicians to join our group. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. All physicians with various experiences are encouraged to apply. The practice is part of a network which has sister practices in New England and Texas. Professional Imaging started in Houston in March of 2005, and has expanded to the entire eastern of Texas. The monthly census is approximately 2300 patients with a staff of 70 which includes physicians, speech language pathologists and support staff.

Briefly, benefits and annual income for working 4 to 5 days a week will be approximately $160,000 to $225,000 or more depending on volume. Health insurance, a 401k retirement plan, and educational stipend are available. There is no weekend call or night call and malpractice insurance is paid for by the practice as well as the tail coverage. In over 400,000 evaluations in a 19-year period we have not had one malpractice inquiry or action.

Midwest Dysphagia Consultants mission is to provide professional dysphagia consultations including modified barium swallows for patients who have swallowing difficulties. The consultations are delivered utilizing a mobile unit pictured on our website.

Various facilities, private offices, and homebound patients have physicians and speech language pathologists who request swallowing studies from a mobile office such as ours. These requests are routed through our office staff and scheduled 95% of the time within 24 to 72 hours of receiving the request. If possible, they are scheduled the same day depending on daily volume and location. Our goal is to have our staff home between 4:00 and 5:00 PM every day.
