Job Description
General Motors has needs for qualified Die Maker Journeypersons. Working under minimal supervision, the skilled trades Die Maker Journeyperson is responsible for building, repairing, remodeling, and maintaining all types of dies using various types of material.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures
- Fabricate and/or repair dies for production, including performing required welding operations
- Read blueprints to perform die repair/fabrication
- Perform die repair, using mills, lathes and grinders as well as hand tools
- Make in-press repairs of dies/tooling
- Die tryout duties as required
- Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, to repair/fabricate dies
- Drive a hi-lo and/or operate overhead crane to transport dies as well as other heavy equipment
- Document and record various data for the department
- Basic computer skills
Interested individuals must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate in Die Maker trade or six (6) years of documented experience as an Die Maker
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which include comprehensive assessments, hair drug testing, and a background check
- At least 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work flexible shift hours and day, afternoon, or night shift as well as overtime hours daily, weekends and holidays on those shifts with little notice.
- This position may be filled with a Journeyperson or Journeyperson in Training; the Compensation ranges for a JIT include ($39.01-45.51) or a Journeyperson rate of $46.44. Certificates/credentials and scoring in interview will determine your status and pay.

Description:
- Work with other skilled Pattern Makers in the maintenance and repair of tooling, dies, robotic end of arm tooling and mold tools
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain production and non-production tools per Dimensional Checks
- Follow instructions on work performed on tooling per Engineering repairs and changes
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with Team Members, Management, and Engineering (verbal and written) on work done or requiring completion, to keep tooling routed through the Pattern Shop and work well within a Team
- Work with Global Manufacturing System (GMS) teams to maintain Built-In Quality (BIQ) qualification, Team Members, Team Leaders, and Management
- Ability to multi-task and safely operate multiple pieces of machinery for optimal efficiency
- Obey/Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE according to all plant and corporate requirements and guidelines
- Maintain work area according to GMS Work Place Organization (WPO) standards/Safe work environment
- Follow lockout procedures and all safety policies
- Blueprint reading – must have sufficient knowledge of shop math to make calculations and draft allowances to maintain dimensions, contours, profiles, etc.
- Understanding of materials, tools, and tool applications
- Must be proficient in the use of measuring tools/instruments to layout and verify all dimensions and tolerances required of trades
- Must have ability to work with diverse groups, be self-motivated and mentor others in problem solving and innovation
- Use Safe/Good machine practices, programming code, tooling, set-ups, and inspection techniques, making adjustments/offsets to run parts within dimensional tolerances
- Accurately complete all quality and inspection paperwork and documentation
- The ability to prioritize multiple jobs/tasks with different deadlines, follow jobs in progress with verbal and written instructions
- Consult with and resolve related issues required of tooling changes.
- Must have experience running lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and other manual/CNC machines and equipment
- Must have tig welding experience
- Experience using 3D CAD data in CNC programming, with preference in GIBBS/UGNX

Position Purpose:

Primary Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Person moves and tracks all inbound, outbound, and stored products within the warehouse. Offloads, stocks, selects, and replenishes products.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Receives all inbound merchandise and locate proper pick location.
- Restocks order pick and flow lines to prepare warehouse for order selection.
- Ensures placement of product in sufficient quantities to accommodate routine or special demands.
- Maintains a high level of attention to detail by ensuring that proper attention is given to all areas including, but not limited to; balers, aisles, racking, floors, door pits, and other areas as assigned.
- Transfers merchandise from the receiving area to it appropriate location. Consolidates merchandise into picking containers as necessary.
- Packs products securely in cartons and totes. Ensures application of shipping ID and mark cartons/totes with truck run and stop number.
- Ensures safe and efficient movement and tracking of inbound, outbound, and stored products within the warehouse.
- Maintains inventory integrity by adhering to system processes.
- Pulls orders according to sequencing on delivery route/run list.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Performs end of shift tasks such as: charging power equipment and verifying completed work.
- Maintains orderly workstation; return supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.
- Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Performs general warehouse duties as assigned including but not limited to forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, and receiving.
- Performs general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required. Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
- Performs daily safety check of the assigned forklift/pallet jack in accordance with company policy.
- Performs damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.
- Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist. Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
- Reviews work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
- Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
- Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
- Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent1+ year of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry
Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company’s success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Warehouse, Worker, you will support the shipping and/or receiving functions activities within our warehouse.
The Warehouse, Worker performs shipping and/or receiving functions in a timely manner while maintaining inventory and warehouse work areas, observing all safety regulations, and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
