Managing Director, Head of Data, Storage and Middleware Services

This senior leadership role is situated within the CTS Data Services group , a global team of over 2,000 professionals. This group is a key division of Cloud Technology Services , which has a global workforce of more than 8,000 people, and is part of the broader Technology and Business Enablement (T&BE) organization.

The CTS Data. Storage and Middleware Services group is the central organization tasked with defining and executing the firm-wide data, storage and middleware strategy. The group engineers, certifies, and operates core data and storage platforms for the bank, including databases, data lakes (on-prem and in public cloud), Block and file storage infrastructure, Web app, messaging middleware infrastructures, data analytics and reporting tools and Citi’s AI infrastructure.

Position Summary

The Head of Data, Storage and Middleware Services will be a transformative leader responsible for designing, delivering, and managing the foundational data & storage capabilities that will underpin the firm’s future. This executive will lead the creation of Storage platform strategy, oversee the firm’s overall data platform design, and direct the data architecture and middleware strategy. A key focus of this role is enabling the firm’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy by providing the robust data platforms required for advanced analytics and machine learning.

This position requires a leader with comprehensive, hands-on experience in a wide array of Infrastructure (Storage, Middleware) and data technologies, a deep understanding of data architecture theory and practice, and a proven track record of implementing large-scale designs in the financial services industry. The successful candidate will manage multiple teams of senior professionals, influence a wide range of senior stakeholders, and drive the firm’s commercial objectives through strategic data management.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Architectural Leadership

  • Develop and execute the comprehensive Data , Storage and Middleware Services strategy for the firm, encompassing relational databases, big data, Storage, Backup, middleware, data curation, and security both on-prem and in public cloud.
  • Design a large-scale, enterprise-wide data architecture that covers all aspects of data management, data governance, Middleware ( Webapp, Messaging and ETL) ,Storage (Block and File), backup, retention, Archival, and data security.
  • Define and select implementation methodologies, platforms, and technologies for system build-out and integration.
  • Lead the design of foundational data capabilities, including data warehousing, data lineage, data transformation, document management, public/private cloud storage, and data analytics.
  • Drive innovation by leading the prototyping and execution of proof-of-concepts for new technologies and platforms.
  • Enable the firm’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy by architecting and delivering robust, scalable data platforms to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.

Management & Execution

  • Manage a large, multi-layered architectural function, leading teams of senior professionals through other senior managers.
  • Assume full management responsibility, including strategic workforce planning, performance counselling, career development, and compensation decisions.
  • Oversee the full spectrum of the group’s activities, from Product Strategy, Architecture, and Engineering to Automation and Quality Assurance.
  • Direct the service offerings of the group, including Enterprise Analytic Services (EAP), Big Data platforms (Hadoop), Database as a Service (DBaaS), public cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) and Software defined storage, object storage, Messaging as a service, Streaming as a service and containerized web offering.
  • Provide significant business management oversight, strategically planning and managing headcount, productivity, and investment across all services.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

  • Act as a key influencer, advising senior leaders across technology and data management on architectural patterns and strategic decisions.
  • Foster key partnerships with technology heads in Services, Markets, Banking, Functions , Wealth and USCC, the CISO, peers across the CIO organization, and other Foundational services organizations.
  • Lead internal and external negotiations that have a major impact on the managed area and the organization.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 20+ years of hands-on experience in a Data and System Architecture role , with a significant portion in a senior technology engineering and leadership capacity.
  • Extensive Experience: Proven track record in the design and implementation of large-scale, mission-critical data platforms within the Financial Services industry or a similarly complex, global environment.
  • Expert-Level Technical Knowledge: Deep, hands-on experience with a broad range of data, storage platform and middleware technologies, including:
    • Databases: SQL, NoSQL, In-Memory Databases, Graph Databases (e.g., Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB).
    • Big Data & Analytics: Hadoop ecosystem, messaging middleware, search engines, and data analytic platforms.
    • Cloud: On-premises, public, and private cloud data platform design and implementation.
    • Storage Engineering: In-depth understanding of file, block and object storage architecture and management, including data backups, retention and media management.
    • Middleware Engineering : In-depth understanding of WebApp , Messaging and ETL products , architecture and management.
  • Standards: In-depth understanding of object-oriented, semantic web, and relational data modelling standards and practices.

Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the management and/or placement of current monitoring techniques and procedures in the perioperative period which include but are not limited to: ECG placement and interpretation, arterial line placement, central line catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, transesophegeal echocardiography, peripheral nerve stimulator's.
  • Records all pertinent perioperative events on the patient’s chart and anesthesia record.
  • Transports patients postoperatively to an appropriate location based on anesthetic technique and patient’s condition, and reports the patient’s condition and anesthetic concerns to the appropriate clinician.
  • In collaboration with the attending anesthesiologist, the CRNA will demonstrate proficiency in the management of the induction, maintenance, and emergence of anesthesia.

As a Group Product Manager at Brex, you will be the driving force behind our Growth Product team — overseeing the thoughtful strategy and execution of team and technical systems to drive customer acquisition and onboarding. You will also collaborate closely with our Go-to-Market (GTM) teams to ensure seamless acquisition and onboarding for customers, particularly those with significant and complex spending needs. You will be instrumental in creating features, models, and tools that empower our GTM and Marketing teams to get maximal leverage out of their efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization, based in San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Vancouver, Brazil, and remote locations. Past examples of work in this domain include AI agents for GTM workflows, developing best-in-class GTM data and enrichment systems, ML models for account prioritization, prospect AI classification systems, and more.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in either our San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office at least 3 days per week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, for a minimum of one week at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product and systems investments that improve GTM metrics such as CAC payback, pipeline conversion, and efficiency.
  • Define and execute a multi-quarter Growth strategy in partnership with Engineering, Design, GTM, Marketing, Ops, and Data to deliver high-impact, scalable products with measurable business impact.
  • Embed within Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to identify workflow bottlenecks and lead automation and optimization initiatives.
  • Analyze GTM funnel and conversion metrics to uncover insights and guide product priorities and roadmap decisions.
  • Set clear goals, metrics, and success criteria for the Growth team, driving accountability to measurable outcomes.
  • Manage and develop a team of Product Managers, fostering clarity, ownership, and a culture of high performance.
  • Oversee core Growth Product and Engineering domains, including account scoring, TAM data, outbound automation, and GTM tooling.
  • Align stakeholders around an aspirational 6–12 month roadmap that advances GTM efficiency and business growth.
  • Ensure successful activation and implementation of customers initiatives by partnering with GTM and Customer Success to operationalize tooling and automations.
  • Continuously refine activation based on feedback and performance data to drive faster time-to-value and sustainable adoption.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience: 10+ years of experience in product management or management consulting, ideally with direct responsibility for or experience scaling B2B products and GTM systems, with a strong understanding of growth, GTM, and/or marketing pipelines.
  • Analytical sense: You demonstrate a strong aptitude for and actively use data to inform your decision-making. Basic SQL proficiency is strongly preferred.
  • Communication: You have proven experience working and communicating effectively with senior leaders and executives, and influencing stakeholders across departments and functions, including Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, CRMX/Business Systems, IT, Legal, and more. You excel at building trust and working relationships.
  • Systems-thinker: You are a systems thinker, capable of thinking holistically across product, technical, and people systems to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for efficiency, automation, fraud prevention, and product growth within the payables ecosystem.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $340,000 - $425,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. About the Chief of Vascular Surgery Position

The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School is currently recruiting a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon to lead the Section of Vascular Surgery. Offering an exceptional opportunity, we are searching for a Chief of the Section to lead our growing team of five vascular surgeons and five advanced practice providers in a clinic-based academic program with remarkable prospects in clinical practice, research, and teaching. The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical and technical skills, have exceptional leadership qualities, and have a collaborative approach to patient care. The Division Chief will recruit and retain faculty; manage program development and growth; build regional referral programs, set strategic direction for the division and align goals with institutional objectives.

The selected candidate will lead our expanding Vascular Surgery Division and will have the opportunity to engage in a robust clinical practice covering the full spectrum of vascular diseases. This includes complex aortic interventions, limb-salvage procedures, and comprehensive care for venous disorders. In addition to advanced endovascular and open surgical expertise, a strong track record in managing complex aortic pathology is highly desired. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Surgery and must have completed an accredited vascular surgery fellowship or integrated residency.

The role also includes significant involvement in medical student education and general surgery resident training, with active participation in GME activities expected.

Essential Functions

  • Provide comprehensive vascular care, including both open and endovascular procedures-across a clinical system encompassing Dell Seton Medical Center (Level I trauma center), Ascension Seton Medical Center, two suburban Level II trauma hospitals with busy vascular surgery practices, and Dell Children's Hospital.
  • Foster a culture that prioritizes faculty success, enhances satisfaction and retention, and supports the growth of both academic and clinical activities.
  • Ensure the division consistently meets or exceeds benchmarked quality standards across clinical outcomes, operational processes, patient experience, and overall quality rankings.
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care, participating in on-call coverage, staffing outpatient clinics, managing perioperative patients, and responding to daily consultation requests.
