Job Description

Meade is seeking a strategic, technically accomplished, and highly communicative Associate Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead our mechanical engineering practice across mission-critical and large-scale infrastructure projects. This role will oversee the strategic direction, technical delivery, and operational performance of electrical engineering services, ensuring world-class power distribution, resiliency, and safety in all projects.

The Director will provide leadership over mechanical design operations, manage technical teams, and uphold the highest standards of quality, compliance, and innovation. The ideal candidate brings deep mechanical expertise in data centers and other mission-critical environments, coupled with strong leadership skills to mentor teams, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver trusted solutions for clients.

Job Duties

  • Set the vision, standards, and priorities for mechanical engineering services across a growing portfolio of mission-critical projects.
  • Manage engineering teams, project managers, and designers to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient mechanical systems on time and within budget.
  • Provide high-level review and approval of mechanical designs, calculations, specifications and QA/QC processes for HVAC, chilled water, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical controls.
  • Establish and enforce design standards, documentation protocols, and code-compliant engineering frameworks.
  • Partner with internal disciplines and external partners to ensure mechanical infrastructure strategies align with overall project goals.
  • Act as the executive-level point of contact for mechanical scope, building trusted relationships with clients, contractors, and facility owners.
  • Mentor and grow a team of mechanical engineers and designers, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
  • Track and report performance metrics across design quality, timeliness, budgets, and client satisfaction.
  • Drive adoption of emerging technologies, resilient mechanical solutions, and sustainability practices for mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Maintain adherence to industry codes, standards, and safety protocols, including ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, local regulations, and client-specific requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with significant exposure to mission-critical, data center, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role with direct responsibility for teams, budgets, and strategic operations.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
  • Expertise with HVAC, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH systems, boilers, piping, fire protection, and mechanical controls.
  • Strong experience reviewing and stamping mechanical designs
  • Proven leadership in multidisciplinary, high-stakes project environments.
  • Excellent communication, client management, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, and related codes.
  • Experience driving process improvements or adopting emerging digital engineering tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software required.

Major Functions:

Under the direction of the Program Director the Clinical Director is responsible for the delivery of all clinical treatment services in an OASAS 820 certified residential services program. She/he ensures the quality of treatment services, the fidelity of evidence-based service delivery and timely documentation of all group and individual counseling services and support services delivered by the facility's clinical staff. She/he is responsible for oversight of job performance, guidance of all clinical staff members and for the direct supervision of each of the clinical Deputy Directors. Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Implement, monitor and provide oversight of all aspects related to the delivery of residential substance use disorder services.

2. Conducts regular and direct observations of all clinical treatment activities.

3. Implement and ensure compliance with all clinical policies and procedures and protocols.

4. Ensure compliance with all referent communications, HRA STARS reporting, and HRA finger imaging verification.

5. Provide crisis intervention services.

6. Conduct utilization review, incident management and review and quality assurance reviews.

7. Assure that staff maintains accurate and confidential clinical records that comply with external monitoring agency standards and internal policy and procedures.

8. Prepare all proposals and reports as needed.

9. Assume responsibility for program operations in the absence of the Program Director.

10. Assure all clinical staff members are adequately trained.

11. Provide and implements formal orientation plan to newly hired direct subordinate staff.

12. Conduct regular clinical and administrative meetings with staff.

13. Provide direct supervision for designated staff as per Odyssey House policies. Prepare written annual evaluations on staff under his/her supervision. Review evaluations of all clinical staff members.

14. Provide ongoing training for clinical staff and participate in Odyssey House in-service trainings.

15. Lead clinical quality improvement activities in collaboration with Program Director.

16. Represent Odyssey House at community and public forums.

17. Other relevant duties as assigned by Program Director.

Requirements: Education/Training and Experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Master's Level Clinical Degree and five (5) years administrative or clinical experience working within a substance use disorder treatment setting required.

2. Two (2) years' experience in an administration and/or clinical supervisory role required.

3. Qualified Mental Health Professional (e.g. LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CRC, Ph.D., MSN, CASAC etc.) required.

4. Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record and Outlook programs)

5. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Sales and Service

Drive Personal Training revenue through consultations, promotions, retention, and consistent member outreach. Sell directly and lead by example on the floor and at the front desk. Coach trainers through role play, observation, and feedback so they can improve their sales process. Manage schedules and resources based on the club's KPIs and daily needs. Help reduce attrition by making sure the Client Journey is followed, especially during the first 90 days. Communicate business results, takeaways, and action plans to the General Manager. Execute monthly marketing initiatives and create new business by engaging members off the floor.

As a SONIC Drive-In General Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Drive-In to provide quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner so that guests will have an enjoyable experience at the Sonic Drive-In. As the highest management position within the Drive-In, you are accountable for the Drive-In and its operations. Responsibilities include:

  3. Managing a profit and loss statement to exceed expectations every week, month, and year

  7. Creating an upbeat positive atmosphere during the shift that makes work fun

  11. Maintaining and enforcing SONIC safety and sanitation standards

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields are preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), experience running shifts without supervision
  • Required to work a minimum 5 day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4 day workweek guaranteed) including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems
  • Problem solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
  • Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC
