Investment Analyst
Pitcairn
Conshohocken, PA

Investment Analyst Position

Pitcairn's innovative Shared Single-Family Office model provides unparalleled service to wealthy families and other family offices. Since the firm's founding in 1923, Pitcairn has helped ultra-high-net-worth families and its members navigate the individual, interpersonal, and institutional challenges that come with wealth. We understand multigenerational family wealth in a way that few other wealth advisory firms do. Our comprehensive family office services include investment advisory, tax, trust and estate planning, risk management, philanthropy, household-level financial services, as well as family education and family governance support.

The Investment Analyst supports Pitcairn's investment research and due diligence work, helping build, analyze, and maintain the strategies that make up client portfolios across public equity, fixed income, real assets, hedge funds, and private markets. The position is intentionally generalist. Rather than covering a single sleeve, you will work across asset classes and develop an understanding of how they fit together, which we believe is the more effective way to learn this business.

Pitcairn's platform spans daily liquid funds, semi-liquid structures such as tender offer funds, and traditional drawdown private funds. Each carries its own mechanics around subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, valuation, and reporting, and those mechanics shape much of the work. We do not expect you to arrive knowing these differences, but we do expect an interest in learning them.

Responsibilities:

  • Support due diligence and manager research across asset classes, including background work, performance and risk analysis, and drafting investment memos.
  • Help maintain coverage of managers already on the platform, preparing for update calls, tracking what has changed since the last conversation, and flagging what deserves a closer look.
  • Contribute to investment analyses, educational pieces, and presentations for the Family Office Group, clients, and prospects.
  • Assist with asset allocation modeling and portfolio analytics that inform client and prospect recommendations, including Capital Market Assumptions, Strategic Asset Allocation targets, and the optimizations of scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Maintain Pitcairn's investment data and research management system current across technology platforms, including manager communications, materials, and performance data.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Two to four years in an investment or investment-adjacent role: investment management, due diligence, research, performance reporting, asset allocation, or investment consulting.
  • Working familiarity with at least one of the following: public equity, fixed income, hedge funds, private equity or private credit, or real assets. Depth in one area is more valuable to us than general familiarity with all of them, and we are prepared to teach you the rest.
  • Exposure to asset allocation or portfolio construction frameworks and the math beneath them: mean-variance optimization and the efficient frontier, risk and return contribution, correlation and covariance estimation, and their practical limits. We do not expect you to have built a Capital Market Assumptions set or Strategic Asset Allocation yourself, but you should be able to reason about the inputs.
  • Advanced Excel required. PowerPoint skills highly desired.
  • Familiarity with institutional research and technology platforms such as Morningstar, PitchBook, Venn, Tamarac, Backstop Solutions, and CENTRL is a plus, as is experience with AI tools, SQL, or Python, though none is required.

Certifications:

  • An interest in pursuing the CFA or CAIA designation.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Intellectual curiosity, including a willingness to follow a question past the first answer.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the organization to keep several workstreams moving at once and accountability for your own work.
  • Clear writing and comfortable verbal communication, since much of the role involves explaining findings to colleagues and clients who were not part of the underlying work.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and to self-manage in an environment spread across multiple locations.

Pitcairn is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to their race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, domestic partner status, status as a parent or medical condition. Pitcairn complies with applicable state and local laws governing non-discrimination in employment in every location in which the Company has facilities. As an investment advisor, employees of Pitcairn may be subject to certain limitations on personal investment activities.

Help students see what’s possible—and guide them all the way to “Yes.”
Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) is seeking an Admissions Counselor who is energized by outreach, inspired by access and equity, and skilled at building relationships. You’ll recruit talented, high-potential students from diverse backgrounds and lead them from first interest to enrollment—through school visits, college fairs, one-to-one conversations, and engaging on-campus experiences.

About the Job

If you’re at your best when you’re meeting people, telling a compelling story, and turning curiosity into commitment, this role is for you. You’ll be a visible ambassador for JCSU—partnering with high schools, community organizations, educators, alumni, and families—while guiding prospective students through admissions, scholarships/financial aid information, and next steps. You’ll blend outreach with organization: plan events, manage your territory, track your progress, and keep every student moving toward their goals.

What You’ll Do
  • Recruit and enroll: Identify, engage, and support diverse student populations through high school visits, college fairs, interviews, campus tours, and individual counseling.
  • Build partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with guidance counselors, educators, alumni, and community organizations to help JCSU meet its enrollment goals.
  • Tell the story: Promote JCSU’s academic programs and student experience with clear, welcoming communication—online, in person, and at events.
  • Guide every step: Advise prospects on admissions policies, timelines, and next steps; share information on scholarships and financial aid; maintain consistent follow-up through enrollment.
  • Own key functions: Coordinate one or more focus areas (e.g., direct mail, campus tours, web/virtual outreach, international and diverse student recruitment).
  • Run the playbook: Review and process applications; maintain accurate student records and reports; plan and execute recruitment and orientation programs; manage travel logistics and documentation in a timely, compliant manner.
  • Represent with integrity: Uphold JCSU’s brand and values in every interaction—with students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners.
You’ll Thrive Here If You Are
  • A relationship-builder who connects quickly with students, families, and school partners.
  • A clear, encouraging communicator—comfortable presenting to groups and supporting students one-on-one.
  • Organized and follow-through strong, able to manage travel, events, and application workflows without losing the personal touch.
  • Equity-minded and student-centered, committed to widening access and supporting diverse learners.
  • Data-aware and accountable, keeping records current and using insights to prioritize outreach.
What to Expect
  • Travel to high schools, college fairs, and community events (seasonal).
  • Evening/weekend activities during peak recruitment periods.
  • Daily use of CRM/records systems, email, phone, and presentation tools; occasional driving.
Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree supplemented by one to three years of substantive experience in admissions, recruitment, high school guidance, public relations, counseling or other relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills (written, verbal, phone) and work ethic required. Travel required; must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and some weekends. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other) are desirable. Must have a valid driver's license.

Supplemental Information:

To apply, please include a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three supervisory references including the most recent supervisor.
