Qualifications

Position Overview: Parkhurst Academy is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in elementary education, a commitment to Christian values, and a passion for fostering young students' academic and spiritual growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects to elementary students.

Physical Demands:

The work is generally sedentary to light and may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Ability to sit and stand for long periods.


Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:


  • Feeling: Ability to perceive attributes of objects by touch.
  • Dexterity: Primarily with fingers, as in picking, pinching, or typing.

  • Visual Acuity: Ability to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading, operating motor vehicles; including color, depth perception, and field vision.
  • Walking: Ability to move on foot for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
