VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Fishers, IN, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead our Emergency Services and Intensive/Critical Care teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinary technician leader who wants to combine hands-on clinical work with team leadership in a busy, 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital.

About t he Role:
You won’t be leading ER and ICW alone. You’ll work alongside an existing ER/ICW Supervisor as part of a collaborative leadership team, sharing responsibilities and supporting one another across both departments. This structure provides additional leadership support, partnership in day-to-day operations, and an opportunity to work together on team development, staffing, and clinical initiatives.
As the ER/ICW Tech Supervisor , you will oversee the day-to-day operations and technical team supporting both Emergency Services and Intensive/Critical Care .
You will:
Lead, mentor, and develop the ER/ICW technician and assistant teams
Provide hands-on support with emergency and critical care patients
Partner closely with ER doctors, specialists, and hospital leadership
Help manage patient flow, staffing, department coverage, and daily operations
Support training, onboarding, and ongoing skill development for technicians and assistants
Promote high standards of patient care, safety, and teamwork
Help identify opportunities to improve department processes and efficiency
Serve as a clinical resource for the team during cases
Participate in a weekend on-call rotation with other supervisors
Schedule: Flexible schedule with alternating weekend on-call rotation. Must be available to work day , swing, or overnight shifts based on hospital needs. Scheduled 40 hours /week, with flexibility up to 55 hours as needed.
Compensation:
Starting range is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available .
