About the Role

We're looking for a Regional Sales Agent to develop new business and manage an assigned insurance sales territory throughout the Mountain Area. Job Responsibilities

Requirements

The cutting-edge Verstandig Pavilion is equipped with all-private inpatient rooms and state-of-the-art medical equipment, ensuring an environment that prioritizes excellence in patient care. The Transplant IMC shares a floor with its own Surgical Transplant Intensive Care Unit (ICU), promoting seamless patient throughput between different acuities.

This 28-bed unit has been recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) with a BEACON Award for Excellence through 2026. Clinical Nurses on S42 provide expert care to acutely ill adults that are waiting for or have recently received a solid organ transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas, intestine) or have undergone other hepatobiliary surgeries (TACE, liver resection, Whipple). MedStar Georgetown is one of only six centers in the United States that perform intestinal transplants and averages over 100 liver transplants per year. At MedStar Georgetown we also perform kidney and pancreas transplants and serve patients regionally, nationally, and internationally. Additional medical diagnoses include end-stage renal disease, end-stage liver failure, hepatitis, chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, sepsis, CHF, and GI bleeds. All beds are equipped to provide continuous cardiac and pulse oximetry bedside monitoring, and nurses are essential in managing high-risk medications and performing in-depth discharge teaching. Nurses work with the interdisciplinary team - including physicians, pharmacists, and nurse practitioners - to deliver intense pre- and post-surgical care that is focused on infection prevention and patient education.   • Performs efficient and quality surgical recovery of human eyes and tissue for transplant and/or research, including drawing blood samples for serological testing.

  • Consistently consults with Tissue Recovery Manager/AOC to obtain medical decisions as necessary, and notifications of deviations from established operating procedure.

  • Travels throughout respective recovery area to perform recovery of donor tissue. Schedules may include day, night, weekend, and/or holiday hours in an on-call status, occasionally going beyond shift times in order to complete tasks. This position requires flexibility due to the nature of the programs 24-hour business.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all DLSH information.
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned by the Tissue Recovery Manager in compliance with established federal, state and regulatory compliance within standard operating policies.  



EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years of age.

Qualifications
  • Sales Experience: Minimum of 1+ years in B2B sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Proficient in assessing client needs and recommending tailored solutions.

  • Training & Mentorship Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in a coaching, mentoring, or training role is preferred. However, the ability to be coachable and open to feedback is equally important, as ongoing learning is key to personal and team growth. 

  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • Leadership & Management: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team, with a passion for helping others succeed.

  • Organization & Proactivity: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.

  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients and team members.

  • Positive Attitude & Resilience: A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to stay positive and motivated, even in challenging situations.

 


 

Additional Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License & Reliable Transportation: Required for travel within your designated sales area.

  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel within your assigned territory, including occasional overnight trips if necessary.

  • Technology Requirements: Ability to access a working cell phone, iPad, and data plan for client communication and sales management.

  • Health Insurance License: Must be willing to obtain a state health insurance license (this is required to join the team, but not necessary to apply).
