At Magnolia, the Production Associate is responsible for executing recipes in the quantities and priorities set by Magnolia Kitchen management, including baking, icing, prepping, cooking, dishwashing, and cleaning. It reports to the Magnolia Kitchen Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow written instructions for all recipes, adhering to Magnolia standards of quality and sanitation
  • Prepare ingredients for each recipe by chopping, dicing, slicing, washing, and using additional techniques as needed
  • Ensure the highest standards of product quality and alert management to the need to make adjustments to processes as required
  • Maintain a clean working environment at all times and maintain appropriate storage of all utensils and supplies*
  • Handle, prepare, and store food in ways that prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure compliance with all food safety standards*
  • Finish all product to specific visual requirements in accordance with Magnolia standards
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained *
  • Participate in all meetings and training sessions to ensure current knowledge of kitchen operations

The primary purpose of this position is to correctly and quickly prepare food orders placed by the customers; to ensure pizzas and other baked food products coming out of the oven have been prepared according to the customers' orders; separate and organize all items for each individual order; separate orders based on whether the product is for dine-in, carryout, or delivery customers. Orders are then either boxed for carryout or delivery, or given to Servers for service in the dining room. Cooks also prepare in advance of their need items used in the preparation of products sold by Pizza Hut, operate the cash register, wash dishes, and answer phones. This is a critical position to the success of this Pizza Hut restaurant in that these are the Company's products.

The following functions have been determined to be essential to the successful performance of this position.

I. PRE-OPENING

Following the directions of the immediate supervisor, the person responsible for this position prepares a certain number of each type of pizzas sold at lunch time. This includes these processes:

  • Turn on equipment used in the preparation of products, for example, the dough proofer.
  • Review the prep list prepared by management to determine how much of each item needed will be prepared for the day.
  • Prepare sauce for pizzas following standard recipes. Sauce is prepared in five gallon buckets. When completed, a full bucket of sauce weighs about 30 pounds. Pizza sauce is stored in the walk-in.
  • Prepare dough for different types of pizza crusts following the job aids posted in the restaurants.
  • Other items are prepared as called for on the prep list following standard recipes and procedures. Items, once prepared, are stored in the walk-in refrigerator.
  • Operate computer system to take orders.

II. OPEN HOURS

A. When the Pizza Hut is open for business the person responsible for this position remains in the preparation area and makes products per the customers' orders. This includes such items as pasta, garlic bread, sandwiches, wings, breadsticks and pizzas. This requires that the person responsible for this position coordinate preparation of items ordered so that all items ordered are prepared quickly and correctly and are ready at the same time.

B. The process of making a pizza involves these integral steps:

  1. Read the order ticket to determine what type and size of pizza needs to be made and kind of ingredients to be put on it.
  2. Select the correct type of dough needed to fill the order. Dough may be kept in a number of places. It may be under the maketable or in the reach-in cooler or in some other designated place.
  3. Place the correct type and amount of toppings, sauce and cheese according to the specs in the correct sequence on the pizzas as ordered by the customer.
  4. Place the pizza in the oven for baking. Pizzas are prepared in metal pans that are placed in an opening at the end of the oven onto a moving conveyor belt. The items proceed through the oven and emerge from the other end baked. Due to differences in cooking times some food items are placed at different spots on the conveyor to control time in the oven.
  5. From time to time the oven must be opened using an access door and food items being baked attended to or other items inserted.
  6. Other items as ordered by the customer are prepared following standard written recipes and procedures.
  7. Check product as it comes out of the oven to assure that it has been properly prepared, correct ingredients, evenly distributed, properly baked.
  8. Cut pizzas into correct number of slices and either send with a Server into dining room or box for carryout.

C. Operate cash drawer as needed being sure to make change correctly. Assist customers by taking order either over telephone or at front counter being sure to follow prepared script. Enter order into the computer system.

D. As needed, while open for business, the person responsible for this position restocks the make table and cut table. Items for restocking are stored in the walk-in, reach-in, or under the make table, or some other refrigerated piece of equipment.

III. CLOSING

A. When the restaurant closes, the person responsible for this position cleans up and closes down their work area. This includes these integral steps:

  1. Clean out the reach-in cooler using hand towel and soapy water.
  2. Clean top and front of oven using hand towel and soapy water.
  3. Cover all food items with clean stainless steel cover(s) or plastic cover.
  4. Clean all stainless with hand towel and soapy water.
  5. Clean out the inside of make table.

NON-ESSENTIAL:

The following are job functions customarily performed by the person responsible for this position, but are not considered essential functions.

A. Arrange work area to make pizzas. This includes these integral steps:

  1. Preparing meat mix and veggie mix. This is a particular combination of ingredients.
  2. Filling the make table with sufficient stock for the anticipated business. Many different items are kept on the make table.
  3. Bringing pre-panned pizzas up to the make table to prepare for topping.
  4. The area where this work is done is in full view of the customer. As such, this area needs to be kept clean as the work is in progress.

B. Responsible for cleaning all equipment used in prep work. This includes cleaning and organizing shelves in the walk in refrigerator.

C. When needed, person performing this position will be required to respond to customer at the carryout counter and drive-thru window. Locating orders. Cashing out customers' tickets in computer. Verifying order and thanking customers.

D. At the end of the shift, but not at closing time, the person responsible for this position has certain assigned clean-up and restocking responsibilities. The make table, work area, and other areas in the restaurant are cleaned and prepared for the next shift. This includes these steps:

  1. Sweeping and mopping floors.
  2. Refilling the make table, reach-in cooler and walk-in refrigerator.
  3. Cleaning the make table and reach-in cooler.

E. Prior to closing, the person responsible this position cleans and prepares the work area for closing and for the next day's business. This involves these steps:

  1. Sweeping and mopping floors.
  2. Refilling and restocking items on the make table.
  3. Break down and clean the make table.
  4. General cleaning throughout the area as in steps 1, 2, and 3 above.
  5. Break down and clean the wing fryer, cut table and other equipment used in the production of food for customers.
  6. Wash dishware, glassware, silverware, pans, and utensils used in preparing and serving food to customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

The following are the qualifications and minimum requirements necessary for a person to perform this job.

A. Be able to perform or learn to perform the essential functions of the position, and do so at an acceptable pace.

B. Mental alertness/intelligence. Position involves tracking the progress of items as they are being prepared; and quickly and accurately determining flow of products out of the oven. At times these responsibilities are performed by one person without supervision or assistance. As many as 25 to 35 pizza and other food items may be baking at one time. Must possess sufficient mental ability/intelligence to work effectively without supervision or assistance and to perform the job functions in a consistent and reliable manner.

C. Sufficient physical condition to perform the functions of the position. Position involves these physical processes:

  1. Lifting. Must be able to lift 15 pound boxes of cheese and 40 pound cases of wings (4, 10 lb. bags).
  2. Bending and stooping. Must be able to stoop down and bend over to stock items stored in reach in refrigerator or under the maketable.
  3. Standing/walking. One hundred percent of on job time is spent standing and walking.

1. Registration Processing

Process and maintain student registration and enrollment transactions in accordance with academic policies, published deadlines, and established Registrar procedures. Activities include course adds, drops and withdrawals; section changes; registration overrides and approved exceptions; enrollment status updates; and related adjustments requiring review of supporting documentation and student eligibility. Review transactions for completeness and accuracy, identify restrictions or data issues that prevent processing, and coordinate with academic and administrative offices to resolve discrepancies. Research and respond to registration questions from students, faculty, and staff, escalating unusual or policy-sensitive matters to the Senior Registrar Coordinator or Registrar leadership as appropriate.

2. Academic Records Maintenance and Data Integrity

Process approved changes to student biographical and academic records, including legal or preferred name updates as applicable, addresses and contact information, academic program, major, minor and concentration changes, advisor assignments, and other authorized record maintenance. Verify required documentation and approvals before updating records and ensure changes are entered consistently across the Student Information System and related systems. Review student records to identify conflicting, incomplete, or inaccurate information; research source documentation; correct authorized data; and refer exceptions for further review. Apply FERPA requirements and institutional standards when accessing, discussing, releasing, or updating education records.

3. Records Services, Verification, and Document Processing

Provide day-to-day support for official records services, including transcript-related inquiries, enrollment and degree verifications, DegreeVerify requests. Maintain appropriate documentation of completed requests and protect confidential information in accordance with FERPA, University policy, and records-retention practices.

4. Student, Faculty, and Staff Service and Issue Resolution

Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for Registrar services by responding to telephone, email, in-person, and departmental inquiries regarding registration, academic records, enrollment status, deadlines, forms, and related procedures. Research student-specific situations using the Student Information System, document imaging, and other available resources; explain applicable requirements clearly; and resolve routine and moderately complex issues within established authority. Collaborate with academic departments, advising, admissions, student accounts, financial aid, veterans services, and other University offices to support accurate and timely student service. Recognize matters requiring policy interpretation, exception approval, or elevated access and route them promptly to the appropriate Registrar staff member.

5. Systems, Reporting, Quality Control, and Operational Support

Support the accuracy and effectiveness of Registrar operations by performing quality-control reviews, monitoring shared work queues and departmental communications, and assisting with recurring registration and records projects throughout the academic cycle. Participate in testing of Student Information System changes, integrations, forms, and third-party technologies by following test scenarios, documenting results, and reporting discrepancies. Assist with routine data validation, operational reports, records cleanup, and special projects assigned by Registrar leadership. Maintain current knowledge of relevant University policies, FERPA requirements, office procedures, and system functionality, and contribute observations and recommendations that improve workflow, consistency, and service delivery.

This position requires a broad working knowledge of registration and academic records processes and the ability to apply University policies and procedures consistently across a variety of student record situations. The Registrar Specialist works with confidential student information and is expected to exercise sound judgment, maintain a high degree of accuracy, and ensure compliance with FERPA and established University policies and procedures.

The position is cross-trained in multiple Registrar functions and must be able to research and resolve routine and moderately complex registration and records issues, identify discrepancies in student records, and determine when matters require escalation to the Senior Registrar Specialist or other Registrar leadership. The position interacts regularly with students, faculty, academic departments, and administrative offices and must provide clear, accurate, and professional guidance regarding registration and records processes.

Because Registrar functions directly affect enrollment, academic history, degree progress, institutional reporting, and student services, accuracy and data integrity are essential. The position must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, particularly during peak periods such as registration, add/drop, grading, and the beginning and end of academic terms. Flexibility and the ability to support other Registrar functions as operational needs arise are essential components of the position.

Responsibilities

THIS POSITION

At IFYC, we collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners to execute projects to achieve our mission. IFYC Program Managers are generalists, able to engage religious and worldview diversity with all constituents on a college campus from faculty to administrators, as well as community and civic settings. You’ll be leading projects and supporting projects, each of which has distinct roles with clear responsibilities. One day you might be talking to a faculty member about their curriculum for theFaculty Seminar . The next day you might be leading a team meeting with internal colleagues about an upcoming grant opportunity. The next week you might be on a college campus facilitating a workshop for Student Affairs staff, putting IFYC’s frameworks in conversation with the department’s mission statement and Pew findings on religion and public life in the US.

You are passionate about religious and worldview diversity within higher education, programs that promote interfaith cooperation and racial equity, and the civic value of engaging across deep difference. You thrive in a fast-paced, adaptable environment where one day won’t look like the next. You feed off the organizational learning and social science research and adjust your strategy to fit what we’ve learned. You love to work collaboratively internally and externally and liaise across multiple complex projects. You hold yourself and your work to a high bar of excellence and take personal responsibility for achieving your goals.

Responsibilities will flex with each assigned project. However, all Program Managers are responsible for the following:

• Manages assigned IFYC projects

• Executes pieces of work on IFYC projects, including data tracking in line with project goals and impact; CRM responsibilities; and administrative tasks

• Deploys IFYC programs and theories of interfaith cooperation across alumni network, civic groups, and multiple constituencies on campus (e.g. faculty, student affairs professionals, college students)

• Builds relationships with IFYC civic partners (e.g. peers at non-profits, think tanks), alumni network, constituents on campuses

• Represents IFYC through presentations and attendance at conferences, on campus visits, and at IFYC events

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field including religious studies, higher education, sociology, etc.

• Three or more years of professional experience in a related field, including interfaith work, consulting, higher education, online education, etc.

• Proven project management and organizational skills

• Demonstrated effectiveness in interfacing with multiple constituencies, such as non-profit partners; young professionals; campus administrators, faculty, staff, or students.

• Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications (but not required)

• Advanced degree in Religious Studies, Civic Leadership or Higher Education

• Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders in substantive discussions about religious and worldview diversity, interfaith cooperation, racial equity, and civic pluralism

• Experience developing and implementing strategies to identify and define complex equity and inclusion issues

• Experience in in-person and online training, facilitation, consulting, education, assessment and/or related skillsets

• Passionate commitment to IFYC’s mission of making interfaith cooperation the norm in America

• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to project peer quality and credibility with campus partners

• Adaptable and able to move across projects and programs and adjust priorities as needed

• Professional communication skills including writing and presentation

• Ability to multi-task, balance multiple ongoing projects and work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

• Confident training and/or speaking to large groups

• Ability to set ambitious goals and independently pursue them

Location: All US-based locations (remote) until our office reopens in 2021, then this position will be based in Chicago, IL.

Travel : When our organization resumes travel likely sometime in 2021, approximately 20% of work time will be traveling to colleges/universities, and conferences across the country (average throughout year; maybe more during peak academic and conference seasons); can expect to work occasional nights and weekends

Supervision: Director of Program Resourcing

Compensation and benefits : $55,000 - $65,000 annually plus free medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance for employee-only coverage. Those who wish to cover their dependents can contribute through payroll for dependent health coverage. Generous paid time off policies that include paid time off, floating holidays, fixed holidays, sick leave and paid parental leave.
