A day in the life
As the Senior Product Manager - Tech, you will own the vision and strategy for every aspect of the product, from strategy to feature-level definition and then roll out to thousands of users who rely on your tools. Day to day you may find yourself doing desk rides with customers to understand their challenges, and then get huddled up in a room to do whiteboarding of solutions with your tech partners to solve for them. You'll have a seat at the table for strategic prioritization discussions, and you'll make the tradeoffs that help us learn quickly, deliver value, and continue to iterate on products that have high visibility across Amazon. In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional organization of research and applied scientists, data engineers, program managers, product managers, UX designers, software developers, and recruiting teams.

Program Director – Rural Family Medicine Residency Program – F67850

The Program Director position is a founding core faculty member role. As a founding core faculty member and the Program Director, you will be responsible for helping to build this program from the ground up. We anticipate having residents in post no later than July 1, 2023. Prior to that time, the Program Director will work with the Associate Program Director to design curriculum, prepare and execute the ACGME application, help conduct initial recruiting for clinical faculty and residents; while maintaining time for independent clinical practice and scholarship. As Program Director and Core Faculty, once residents arrive, faculty will spend a majority of time on clinical precepting, direct resident and medical student education in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, and educational administration. The remaining time will be devoted to your own direct clinical practice. This position will be primarily based at VCU’s Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, VA; while the Associate Program Director is located primarily on the MCV Campus of VCU Health in Richmond, VA.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring the faculty appointments, assignments, outcomes, and proper conduct of educational
  • Responsible for the supervision, direction, evaluation, and administration of the Family Medicine Education Program.
  • Responsibilities for the Family Medicine Program includes:
    • Provide direction and leadership necessary to obtain and/or maintain the Family Medicine Residency Program with Full Residency Review Committee
    • Conduct ongoing review of the residency program as required by RRC and Participate with the Department Chair and other Residency Leadership in recruiting and making recommendations for improvement in the educational programs within the Department of Family Medicine and Population Health and within the entire VCU Health systems.
  • Assure that services are performed in accordance with and sufficient for compliance with the requirements of all required accrediting bodies such as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the System’s liability
  • Continual improvement of the Family Medicine Residency Program with a full accreditation by the ACGME
  • Serve as a member of VCU Health’s Graduate Medical Education Council.
  • Perform such duties as are appropriate and necessary to the position and operation of the VCU Health Systems and the Family Medicine Residency

Additional Information

The Department of Family Medicine and Population Health at VCU was founded in 1970. It has a long and proud history of training medical students and resident physicians. Our Department houses all of our family medicine medical student education programs, including a highly rated clerkship and two longitudinal, four-year track programs: The Inner City International Rural Program I2CRP is a 4-year longitudinal program for medical students who are invested in serving medically underserved populations. The mission of the program is to increase the number of students who choose career paths in primary care and who practice in underserved settings. The program enrolls up to 24 students per cohort or approximately 96 students during the M1 - M4 years. The preclinical curriculum includes didactics, journal clubs, grand rounds presentations, and service roles in underserved settings. The clinical curriculum includes second-year preceptorships in urban and rural underserved settings and clerkship rotations in urban, rural, and international underserved settings in Family Medicine, general Pediatrics, Ambulatory Medicine, and general Surgery. Students also complete a scholarly capstone project that is relevant to medically underserved communities. We also have four affiliated family medicine residency programs at various locations around the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The Residency

VCU’s Department of Family Medicine and Population Health is incredibly excited to share with you that we are in the process of creating a new rural training track family medicine residency. The residency will focus on serving the underserved in the urban population in Richmond, VA, in the rural area of South Hill, VA, and internationally! Our goal is for this program to be a model program for training those dedicated to serving underserved populations in a variety of settings and advancing family physicians’ abilities to address health disparities and inequities, in addition to providing the highest quality clinical care. The program is designed to base the first-year residents at VCU’s flagship academic medical center in Richmond, VA, then have second- and third-year residents based at VCU’s Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, VA. The program will focus on broad-spectrum training and common procedures important in caring for underserved populations across diverse settings. We plan to have our first class of residents in post no later than July 1, 2023.

Position

The Assistant Director, Student Services in the International Services and Engagement Office (ISEO) is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and implementing the day-to-day activities of the Student Services unit, serving nearly 11,000 international students (graduate, undergraduate, and non-degree) and their dependents at the main campus and Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The Assistant Director leads a team of advisors in meeting the unit's goals of managing policy interpretation and adherence regarding the US Department of Homeland Security (USDHS), US Department of State (DOS), US Department of Labor (DOL), Social Security Administration, Department of Motor Vehicles, and various foreign government agencies and international organizations. Independently responsible for evaluating the development and implementation of policies and procedures affecting international students at UC San Diego. Supervises, hires, and coaches international student advisors, administrative staff, and student assistants providing services and support for international students within academic departments, graduate and professional schools, or the Undergraduate Colleges, involving a variety of student issues such as academic advising, outreach and recruitment, admissions, departmental requirements, student intervention, career counseling, immigration status, housing, and financial aid. Supervises staff to ensure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives. The Assistant Director serves as a subject matter expert to the Senior Director on issues affecting the academic, social, and emotional well-being and success of the international student population. Oversees all aspects of student advising, including analysis and decision-making strategies in furtherance of students\' long-term goals. Provides thorough and comprehensive analysis to the Senior Director concerning administrative and operational decisions related to student services issues. Participates with department management in the development and monitoring of policies and procedures for Student Services operations. The Assistant Director represents both ISEO and the Student Services unit on various UC-wide and campus-wide committees and workgroups to champion student success and inclusive policies and practices. Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree and five (5) years of experience in an academic international student or scholar services office; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Expert and thorough knowledge of federal regulations of U.S. Departments of Homeland Security and State, as they pertain to admission, enrollment, travel, and employment (B-1/2, F-1, J-1, L-2, H-1B, and H-4).

Strong experience with immigration-based software applications (ISSM or equivalent) and SEVIS.
  • Demonstrated experience in motivating and leading staff with proficiency to instruct, train and direct the work of others through clear instructions and guidelines; analyzing work flow and capabilities and aptitude in determining optimal staff configurations to meet operational and service needs adjusting direction appropriately as required.
  • Demonstrated experience and skill to routinely monitor production and quality of work being produced by staff and set performance standards, observing behavior, providing objective feedback, counseling, and implementing corrective action as needed to mediate disputes or otherwise help to resolve conflicts and to provide effective leadership/coaching/mentoring. Skills in monitoring / assessing people, processes or services, to make improvements.

About The Role

We’re hiring a Senior PM to lead data products and AI agents powering our advisor platform. You’ll sit at the intersection of CRM, data intelligence, and AI—building products that help advisors find, engage, and manage clients, and plan trips more effectively. Key Responsibilities
