The role will interface and coordinate with corporate legal functions such as Litigation, IT, Intellectual Property, and Employment Law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating franchise agreements and related documents to help the business attain growth and retention goals
  • Negotiating vendor contracts preferably with some SaaS, Information Technology experience
  • Reviewing marketing materials for legal compliance

Compensation:

The Assistant General Counsel (AGC) will be an integral part of a small in‑house legal team navigating a complex web of commercial matters and government contracting regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the General Counsel, serve as a key legal point of contact to BioMADE’s business teams and work closely with internal stakeholders to assist with drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements, including those related to employment, licensing, independent contractors, vendor relationships, construction and technology.
  • Support the General Counsel in advising the business on transactions, corporate structure and entity management (including intercompany agreements), and corporate governance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 2-5 years of legal experience as a transactional or corporate lawyer, which can consist of a combination of work at a major law firm or in‑house legal department (in‑house biotechnology, chemical or advanced manufacturing sectors preferred, but not required). Government experience may be considered in lieu of law firm or in‑house experience.

Your role

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the General Counsel (GC) and Legal & Compliance team.
