Job Description:

We are seeking a Level 3 Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and verification of propulsion control systems for advanced defense aerospace platforms. This role focuses on electrical and electronic hardware used in engine control, actuation, sensing, power distribution, and embedded control interfaces for mission-critical propulsion applications. The engineer will work across the full product lifecycle in a highly regulated environment where safety, reliability, and performance are essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and develop electrical architecture, circuit designs, and interface definitions for propulsion control systems and subsystems.

  • Support development of engine control electronics, sensor/actuator interfaces, power conditioning, wiring, and signal integrity solutions.

  • Create and review schematics, requirements, interface control documents, test procedures, and design analyses.

  • Perform component selection, derating, tolerance analysis, and failure analysis for aerospace and defense applications.

  • Support hardware integration, troubleshooting, verification, validation, and qualification testing in lab and system environments.

  • Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and test engineering teams to deliver integrated propulsion control solutions.

  • Ensure designs comply with customer requirements, military standards, airworthiness expectations, and internal engineering processes.

  • Participate in design reviews, root cause investigations, risk reduction activities, and corrective action efforts.

  • Contribute technical input to program planning, cost/schedule estimates, and engineering trade studies.

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within assigned work scope.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace, defense, propulsion, controls, avionics, or other safety-critical systems.

  • 5+ year of experience with analog and digital circuit design, electrical integration, and hardware verification.

  • 5+ years of experience with propulsion control components such as sensors, actuators, control electronics, motor drives, or power systems.

  • Ability to interpret system requirements and translate them into electrical design solutions.

  • 5+ years of experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, DMMs, signal generators, and data acquisition tools.

  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with engine control systems, thrust vector control, electro-mechanical actuation, ignition systems, sensors or related propulsion subsystems.

  • Knowledge of DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, IPC, or other aerospace/defense electrical standards.

  • Experience with FPGA/embedded hardware interfaces, control system integration, or environmental qualification testing.

What You Need
Required

Overview

The Financial Planning & Analysis area is seeking a highly skilled and highly motivated FP&A Analyst III to support our firm and segment financial planning and analysis team. We are responsible for enabling firm and segment level decision making, providing insightful and action oriented financial analysis, evolving financial planning processes, and applying best practices and new perspectives to solve complex problems.

This role will support annual and ad hoc firm and segment area planning, including core business segment planning, reporting, and analysis, as well as financial planning and forecasting for the firm's cash, lending, and advisory revenue streams. The team implements and executes driver‑based forecasting and collaborates across the firm to support strategies to reach short‑ and long‑term objectives. The successful candidate will be a self‑starter who partners well in a collaborative manner to support our Finance and business area stakeholders' ability to make timely financial decisions while championing financial stewardship.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop an internal network of relationships across Finance and supported business areas to act as a trusted partner for stakeholders to rely on.
  • Apply advanced analysis skills, forecasting/outlooking, and complex modeling; use statistics and advanced analytical concepts to identify opportunities.
  • Support financial planning and forecasting for the firm's cash, lending, and advisory revenue streams, translating business drivers and performance trends into actionable financial insights.
  • Support core business segment planning, reporting, and analysis by developing insights that help business leaders understand performance, identify trends, and evaluate opportunities.
  • Develop high‑impact analysis that facilitates the transformation of complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Inform and educate business areas of the financial impact of decisions, recommending optimal solutions to influence strategic direction.
  • Develop segment and firm‑level measurements to create awareness of and accountability for results.
  • Prepare customized management‑level reports and dashboards in support of the firm’s initiatives or programs.
  • Summarize complex information and present concepts clearly to senior management.
  • Present analyses and firm financial information to senior leaders, educating them on analytical concepts and best practices.
  • Develop and manage business relationships with Finance associates, project team members and senior leaders across the organization; participate in and lead cross‑functional teams responsible for implementing projects in support of divisional and firm‑wide business objectives.

What Experience You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MSF) or comparable certifications (CFA, CPA) required.
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience, including prior experience in an FP&A function.
  • Experienced in developing financial/economic models using a driver‑based methodology.
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders, including senior leadership, providing analytical guidance to directly influence business decisions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to recommend solutions for a broad spectrum of business improvement opportunities.
  • Capable of connecting processes to ensure integration across functions.
  • Experience operating in ambiguous situations and creating process enhancements that address short‑term needs while advancing long‑term vision.
  • Ability to identify trends and present recommendations to senior leadership to influence decision making.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well with associates and leadership throughout the firm, including external vendors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); demonstrated ability to use pivot tables, advanced charting, formulas, and conditional formatting.

Location

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.

Essential Job Functions

What you will be doing

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the operational management of the Finance department
  • Provide a key role in driving the strategy and performance of the organization, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
  • Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
  • Maintain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Conduct analysis to produce budgets and forecasts, and report on these at Board of Directors and Board of Trustees level
  • Ensure the financial compliance of the organization, in line with relevant legislation, regulation, and audit recommendations
  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing and maintenance of financial data on HA computer systems (Salesforce, SAGE, NAVision)

Education / Expertise

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a relevant Finance discipline
  • Certified Public Accountant required
  • (ACA; ACCA; CIMA) preferred

Job Requirements / Skills / Etc

  • Significant senior‑level financial leadership, management and oversight experience
