The Hospitalist Service at Yale New Haven Hospital is actively seeking APRNs or PAs to join our inaugural Hospitalist APP Residency Program. Hospitalist APP residents will be held to the same clinical and academic standards as their non‑resident APP colleagues. The residency is a 1‑year program composed of both clinical and didactic education. The didactic curriculum will consist of core clinical, specialty and procedure‑based didactics, as well as APP professional practice and development. Residents will be expected to attend weekly didactic conferences and participate in medicine teaching conferences, grand rounds, and procedures. Clinical rotations will include internal medicine, subspecialty electives, admissions, and internal med consults. APP residents will take medical histories, perform physical examinations, perform specified procedures, and develop patient treatment plans in collaboration with the attending physician. Each APP resident will work with a preceptor primarily in YSC and SRC on the Hospitalist Service. The primary function of the APP resident is to master how to provide comprehensive care to medicine inpatients in collaboration with attending physicians and under the direction of the APP Manager(s) and preceptors. Each APP will have a designated supervising/collaborating physician. At the end of the program, the APP will receive a certificate of completion.

OB/GYN coverage in a quaternary care hospital, level IV Perinatal Center with level I trauma verification and Level IV NICU. Complex, high risk, obstetrics and gynecology services.
