The NA Consulting Practice within VCA provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s issuers in the United States. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk.

The VCA team is looking for a Director to join our Community - Digital Sales segment and play a role in developing high impact projects for Visa’s clients in the North America region. The potential candidate will be responsible for selling consulting engagements as well as delivering and implementing projects and solutions with US Financial Institutions / Issuing Banks. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both the preferred brand and unique business partner.

Most engagements are focused on developing strategies for our clients e.g. market penetration strategies, profitability analysis, segmentation, growth, product development, program launch, customer acquisition, customer life cycle optimization, retention & enhancements.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Proactively engage with Visa internal teams in regular strategic & planning discussions.
  • Managing a sales pipeline within an identified list of client targets and selling consulting work against a sales target of 5-8M annually.
    • Collaboration with other Visa teams for account planning, including Account Executives and Client Marketing, as well as other VCA delivery teams.
    • Leads initiatives to identify potential opportunities with Issuing Bank and Credit Union partners and contributes to closing deals for engagement work.
    • Work with other delivery partners to determine collaborative Visa solutions that can help Clients solve their key growth initiatives.
    • Maintains internal records in various systems for pricing approvals, internal routing and legal/funding approvals, and updating for proper revenue recognition.
  • Lead consulting project work, which involves:
    • Playing a leadership role on project work to identify required timelines, resources, SME’s, etc. to align with key elements as defined in a Business Initiative Addendum/Statement of Work.
    • Developing frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.
    • Build solutions and actionable insights that will help clients to grow their portfolios and customer engagement in their core business.
    • Partner with peers in other functional areas (marketing, sales, risk, innovation, new flows) and across global community teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources.
    • Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the verticals and segments.
    • Ability to effectively manipulate and analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to determine meanings insights and recommendations for clients.
  • Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, best practice documents and consulting approach that can be applied across VCA practice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

The Data Modernization Solution Architect (SA) is a Presales professional, responsible for solution development in support of Data BI Reporting, Data migration and Data modernization solutions in collaboration with TEKsystems sales partners.

The SA will be the primary driver for identifying, scoping, and creating solutions/proposals that encompass technical approach, estimates, Implementation, team structure, pricing and contracts.

The SA will bring thought leadership, current industry know-how and applied solutions to improve existing service capabilities, engagement and delivery challenges and any research and development activities. Leadership and in-depth knowledge of the following would be required:

  • Software development project qualification (size, technology fit, skillset fit, delivery location selection, risk).
  • Experience in leading/Implementing Dashboards, ETL/ELT Development, AI solutions (software delivery leveraging DevOps), Data Platform and Integration Solutions
  • Experience in leveraging capabilities, content, and assessment to develop solution vision with client.
  • Experience in providing advisory consulting as well as delivery of services in the practice’s areas of expertise
  • Understanding data BI reporting services including Dashboarding (Sigma, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI)
  • Understanding data platform services, including cloud foundations (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Landing Zones, software delivery/DevOps, integration, operations and security technical capabilities, delivery center capabilities, and proof points
  • Packaging capabilities and solution content for use in sales and marketing activities
  • Preparing value proposition and competitive positioning statements
  • Providing feedback to practice leadership to develop, enhance and package new capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, challenges, and goals related to Application and data modernization, including modernization, automation, and data including AI, and generative AI initiatives.
  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions leveraging different data technologies
  • Ensure solutions align with industry best practices, architectural principles, client terms and conditions, and adhere to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the solution lifecycle, from ideation to implementation and ongoing support.
  • Outline solutions including diagrams, team member work estimates, timelines and costs to build the solutions you create
  • Manage solution roadmap, planning, estimation, and initial delivery efforts through assessment and recommendations for successful delivery
  • Participate in RFx Responses
  • Work with Sales and Contract teams on Statements of Work to ensure the proposed solution is translated to contracts
  • Collaborate with account executives to provide the technical sales support to close deals
  • Coordinate with our delivery teams on project team members and assignment of the right teams to fit our customer need
  • Present case studies to customers on work we have delivered
  • Determine if our services are a fit for customers business requirement and direct them to the appropriate consulting practices within our organization
  • Contribute to the outcomes in opportunity pursuits in landing, expanding, and protecting business
  • Collaborate with practices on continued evolution of service offerings, presales & go-to market collaterals such as case study support, account profiling, client presentations design, etc
  • Ensure proper turnover from solutioning to Delivery to ensure expectations, schedules and ramp up time frame is managed.
  • Ensure client expectations are clearly communicated to Delivery (client environment, culture, key players, escalation points, roles and responsibilities, vision, issues, risks, objectives etc.).
  • Participation in advisory & assessment activities
  • Relationship Management and formal/informal status checks with clients.
  • Providing advisory and thought leadership support to clients.

Qualification & Education

  • A technical bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems)
  • 12+ years of experience in information technology and/or IT professional services
  • 5+ years in client facing roles developing new business and providing project management and oversight within professional services
  • Hands‑on experience in solution design and development with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerization, and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in creating dashboards using Tableau, Qlik, Sigma, and or Power BI
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding in creating ETL/ELT packages in Matillion, Informatica, DataStage, DBT
  • Knowledge of the three main cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of Snowflake and Databricks
  • Preferred experience in AI technologies applied to software development, automation and business use case applications
  • Prior experience in engagement management, project Management with full application development lifecycle using multiple methodologies (Agile, Scrum, RUP, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Prior experience developing project estimations, project planning, and scheduling
  • Strong writing and client facing communications with the ability to effectively develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Experience with various technology platforms, application architecture, design, and delivery including experience architecting large e‑commerce and web‑based solutions
  • Software or services pre‑sales experience with high energy and dynamic personality Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Experience administrating client professional services agreements including the change management process.
  • Strong drive to remain current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in application and data modernization, including emerging AI, and generative AI domains.
  • Ability to travel to client locations to deliver professional services, as needed

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125,000.00 - $190,000.00/yr.

We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
