Responsibilities

As a Commercial Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for understanding Orkin's products and services and how to sell them to a variety of industries. You'll make strategic recommendations to new and existing customers to help prevent pests, uphold quality and safety, and satisfy their regulatory standards. You'll solve problems and build trusted relationships as an essential partner protecting their business. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • No prior pest control industry experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Sales or customer relationship management experience required

Job Summary

  • Set up, adjust, calibrate, and operate survey instruments to measure distances, elevations, and angles accurately and efficiently. Record complete and accurate field notes for all survey activities
  • Ensure crew readiness by preparing equipment and materials for daily assignments, and maintain and protect all survey equipment in proper working condition
  • Train crew members in survey methods, equipment operation, and safety procedures. Coordinate with the Field Crew Supervisor to schedule and prioritize project workload

Qualifications - Survey Crew Chief

  • Minimum 5 years of professional land survey field experience with demonstrated ability to lead crews independently
  • Valid Florida driver's license with an approved and acceptable driving history required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized training from a vocational or technical school in surveying or a related field preferred
  • Basic math and calculator proficiency. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications - Survey Party Chief

  • FDOT design survey and route survey project experience
  • NSPS Certified Survey Technician (CST) certification at Level III or higher
  • Experience operating robotic total stations, GPS rovers, and terrestrial LiDAR scanners
  • Familiarity with survey data processing software such as Carlson, MicroStation, or AutoCAD Civil 3D

Physical Requirements - Survey Crew Chief

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of survey equipment regularly
  • Walk for extended periods across all types of terrain including uneven ground, dense vegetation, and standing water
  • Work outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions including heat, humidity, and rain
  • Available to travel up to 50% of the time with overnight travel as needed

Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and modify project schedules to ensure projects meet established completion dates.

Requirements

Qualification Standards

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience related to the design, programming, and installation management of computerized Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Experience working with HVAC equipment and systems, including:
  • Heat pumps
  • Chillers
  • Cooling towers
  • Rooftop units
  • Packaged units
  • Boiler
  • Pumps
  • Fans
  • Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience preferred.
  • Valid New York State driver’s license required for travel to project sites.
