Ironclad Solution Architect

We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our Legal Operations practice.

Role and responsibilities

  • Serve as technical lead for Ironclad CLM projects providing oversight and collaborating on architectural design, reviews and optimization
  • Establish, lead, and manage the enablement and technical knowledge development of the Legal Operations team, staying current with Ironclad’s evolving capabilities and coordinating training initiatives
  • Define and communicate technical principles, designs, and architectural standards to ensure high-quality solution delivery
  • Support client demos and proof-of-concept projects for clients evaluating Ironclad as a standalone CLM or as part of broader lead-to-cash transformations
  • Integrate seamlessly with project teams consisting of client-side personnel and Spaulding Ridge consultants; the ability to work collaboratively is key
  • Adhere to Spaulding Ridge delivery methodology and project standards, ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time

Ideal candidates

  • 5+ years of experience implementing and leading CLM applications, with a strong emphasis on Ironclad
  • Preference given to candidates who are Ironclad Bootcamp Certified
  • Hands-on expertise with Ironclad’s configuration, workflow automation, Smart Import, Smart Contract capabilities, and API-based integrations
  • Deep background in business rules, custom calculations and data integration utilizing various CLM tools
  • BA/BS Degree in Finance/Accounting, Law, Business Management and/or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical requirements from non-technical clients and team members as well as convey technical topics in a way that can be understood

Responsibilities

  • Ship tools to accelerate the growth of new qualified contributors on Scale’s labeling platform
  • Build methodical fraud-detection systems to remove bad actors and keep Scale’s contributor base safe and trusted
  • Use models to estimate the quality of tasks and labelers, and guarantee quality on requests at large scale
  • Devise advanced matching algorithms to match labelers to customers for optimal turnaround and accuracy
  • Build methods to automatically measure, train, and optimally match labelers to tasks based on performance
  • Create optimized and efficient UI/UX tooling, in combination with ML algorithms, for 100k+ labelers to complete billions of complex tasks
  • Develop new AI infrastructure products to visualize, query, and explore Scale data
  • Create a customer service RAG application that handles thousands of questions a day

Qualifications

  • A graduation date in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (Computer Science, EECS, Computer Engineering, Statistics)
  • Product engineering experience such as building web apps full-stack, integrating with relevant APIs and services, talking to customers, figuring out ‘what’ to build and then iterating
  • Previous Product/Software Engineering Internship experience
  • Track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale
  • Experience building systems that process large volumes of data
  • Experience with Typescript, React, Python and/or MongoDB

Compensation packages for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. About the Role

As a Backend Engineer , you’ll contribute directly to the core of our product and infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within a strong engineering team while delivering meaningful work that touches real customers.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and founders—working across the stack to build, improve, and scale our platform.

We are 5 days a week in office. No remote work will be considered.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services that power the Pump platform
  • Work with the team to define and scope new product features
  • Contribute to a strong engineering culture by participating in code reviews and continuous improvement
  • Help extend our internal tools, dev workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and maintainability
  • Collaborate across functions to solve real customer problems with intuitive engineering solutions

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–6 years of professional backend engineering experience
  • Ability to work 5 days a week in office
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with FastAPI or similar frameworks
  • Experience with SQL databases —we use PostgreSQL
  • Comfort working in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (nice to have)
