Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist is responsible for the performance of all patient imaging procedures and all patient safety protocols.

1. Reflects CMC’s Mission, Vision and Values by providing the highest quality service excellence to each patient encountered. Utilizes AIDET. As outlined in the 2x2s: Staff introduced and explained the procedure/process. Is responsive to patient concerns/issues. Provides excellent care to achieve OTT goal.

2. Proactively checks patients’ orders to ensure order accuracy. Calls Outpatients the day prior to their study to answer any questions they may have and to explain what the procedure entails.

3. Identifies all patients by asking name and date of birth. Verifies order and diagnosis. Explains procedure to patient and answers any questions the patient may have. Selects correct patient and study to image. Completes Meditech and PACS in a timely manner.

4. Uses MRI safety screening form to assess all patients for possible metallic objects or non-MRI compatible medical devices. Adequately screens all patients, visitors and staff persons entering Zones 3 and 4.

5. Uses MRI screening wand for patients unable to verbalize or check for metal objects

6. Completes shift reports and proactively checks patients orders, calls patients the day prior to their appointment to answer any questions they may have and to explain what the procedure entails. Checks Daily charges to ensure proper charging of exams.

7. Functions as the first line interface with customer accounts in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

8. Follows all regulatory compliance for DHEC, Joint Commission, ACR and any regulatory agency governing radiation/ and MRI safety.

9. Develops and maintains MR protocols and communicates with radiologist for standardization.

10. Wears radio while on shift to ensure maximum communication with other employees.

11. Performs Quality Assurance checks on equipment and procedure areas. 

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date is Required
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT) required
  • One year or more experience is Preferred

Continuing education, learned skills and experience will be utilized. This position will function without constant supervision to produce superior quality imaging studies. The Multi-Modality Technologist must routinely work within a minimum of two qualifying modalities as directed by department managers/supervisors to meet the specific needs of the department. Performs all duties relating to the specific primary an d post primary imaging modalities in which they are working. This includes Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound. Mammography & Bone Densitometry.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) program.
  • Required License: ARRT registered and hold post primary certification in a minimum of 1 additional qualifying discipline in which exams will be performed in the role of Multi-Modality Technologist OR must obtain registry and have current certification on credentialing website for specified imaging modality within specific timeframe as follows; a.   • BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
  • Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
  • On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.

POSITION OVERVIEW 

  • Manage the staffing needs of the Reflections Community by interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling of caregiver and scheduling med tech coverage.
  • Assist the Business Office Manager in the completion of new hire paperwork, tracking attendance logs, monitoring time sheets, performing employee evaluations per company policy, and staying within the required budget for staffing.
  • Identify staff educational needs including scheduling and coordinating new hire orientation training, weekly mini-modules, and coordinating all mandatory and required in-service meetings for the memory care staff.
  • Conduct training for dementia related behaviors, interventions, and conditions.
  • Assure that care staff is educated about the needs of our residents with dementia and that they are knowledgeable of the resident’s negotiated service plan and task/assignment sheets.
  • Observe and report symptoms and changes in condition of residents to the Wellness Director.
  • Assist in administering medications and records reactions.
  • Maintain records reflecting the resident’s conditions.
  • Direct the supervision, oversee, and participate in the delivery of care giving and coordination of resident health care needs and assure that resident care needs are addressed.
  • Able to perform duties and possess the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations according to MorningStar’s standards and guidelines.
  • Promotes teamwork with all departments.
  • Assures that resident care managers' report all changes in resident’s conditions to the Wellness Director and document these changes on the Daily Log.
  • Prepare and administer medications according to procedure.
  • Work with the Wellness Director to develop, maintain, and update resident’s Negotiated Service Plans, Assessments, and task/assignment sheets at move-in, at change of condition, and every 3 months in collaboration with other departments. Gather input from the resident care managers prior to updating these.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the resident, and resident’s family regarding the resident’s care needs and assist with counseling of residents and families.
  • Ensure all infection control guidelines are met and that staff have a sufficient continuous supply of gloves and other protective supplies.
  • Report incidents of suspected resident abuse immediately. Complete incident reports and present for follow up to the Wellness Director and Executive Director within 24 hours and according to state and federal guidelines.
  • Complete the Incident tracker monthly. Work with the Wellness Director to complete the addendum for interventions and reductions in incidents and reviews at the QA/safety committee meeting monthly.
  • Coordinate state required training with Wellness Director to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Ensure that resident care managers participate in taking residents to prescribed activities and for those residents who may be physically unable to attend, that they spend additional one on one time with them. 
  • Work with the Life Enrichment Coordinator to set up and coordinate the daily activity schedule specific to dementia residents.
  • Ensure resident specific activity interest/ability assessment is conducted and included in the resident service plan.
  • Coordinate the delivery of ongoing quarterly support groups for resident family members.

Become the Case Management Director you've always aspired to be

- Assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations and human resource management of the Case Management department.
- Oversee the interdisciplinary plan of care and the discharge planning process to ensure the effectiveness and appropriateness of services with a central focus on census management, patient care outcomes, and key care indicators.
- Act as a patient and family advocate, ensuring that services are delivered to meet the needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications

- Current CCM® or ACMTM certification is preferred.
- Must be qualified to independently complete an assessment within the scope of practice of his/her discipline.

- For Nursing, must possess bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) with RN licensure.
- For other eligible health care professionals, must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree; a graduate degree is preferred.
- Three years of hospital-based Case Management experience, including Utilization Review and Discharge Planning experience.
- May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts.
- May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.

Be the Pharmacy Director You've Always Strived to Be

  • Convey the mission of the hospital and organization to pharmacy staff, holding them accountable for performance, while motivating them to enhance and develop their capabilities.
  • Oversee the pharmacy department's operations, including scheduling, continuous assessment, and the implementation of process improvements to optimize department performance.

Become the Controller you've always aspired to be
