Job Summary

Job Duties

Department Summary

Facilities Management and Development (FMD), a unit within the Administration and Finance Division (AFD), is responsible for the planning, design, construction, operations, maintenance, and repair of university facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. FMD consists of four critical and interdependent support departments, including Customer & Business Services; Energy, Utilities, & Sustainability; Facilities Planning & Capital Projects; and Facilities Operations. In support of the Cal Poly mission, the FMD is committed to sustainability, responsible stewardship of natural resources, and promoting an inclusive culture that values individual and organizational integrity, civility, equity, and diversity.

Key Qualifications

  • Operate, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, heaters, pumps, valves, piping and related appurtenances used in the distribution of steam and heated water distribution systems.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including refrigerant compressors, condensers, evaporators, and associated refrigerant lines and devices.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair air compressors and related systems.
  • Maintain, repair, and monitor water distribution, wastewater, and water treatment systems including filters, softeners, and pool water treatment systems.
  • Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on multi-phase electrical circuits up to 600 volts.

Education And Experience

  • Four (4) years of experience performing duties involving the operation, maintenance, and repair of boiler, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, and power equipment in large commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings. Qualifying experience must include the operation and maintenance of air conditioning systems utilizing automatic controls.
  • Completion of 700 hours of formalized technical instruction in Stationary Engineering from a recognized program, such as Job Corps, Skill Centers, Regional Occupational Programs (ROP), trade schools, military training, or Joint Training Partnership Act (JTPA) programs.
  • OR an Associate of Arts degree or a certificate in Mechanical Electrical Technology may be substituted for the required technical instruction, provided the program includes at least 12 semester units in heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems involving automatic controls.
  • Two (2) years of additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education.

Licenses, Certificates, Credentials

  • Possession of a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain by date of hire. This position may require the ability to obtain AHERA Supervisor certification for asbestos related work and Cal/OSHA Lead training as well as the ability to wear respiratory protection. A Cal/OSHA mandated medical evaluation is required prior to the use of a respirator.

Salary And Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $80,500 - $100,000 per year

Classification Range: $65,844 - $109,200 per year

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Benefits


The annual base salary for this position ranges from $190,000-$210,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and scale the UGC content ecosystem from 0 to 1
  • Develop and manage a creator system (KOCs/KOLs): discovery, recruitment, activation, and retention
  • Design incentive mechanisms and engagement programs to boost creator output and satisfaction
  • Plan and execute community events , interactive challenges, and content campaigns
  • Partner with product and marketing teams to enhance platform features and branded content initiatives
  • Monitor community trends and content performance to drive strategy using data analytics
  • Maintain content quality and safety , ensuring a positive user experience
  • Actively communicate with creators to address needs, gather feedback, and build loyalty

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in content operations, creator/influencer management, or UGC community building
  • Proven track record in building or scaling a content ecosystem or creator program
  • Strong knowledge of community dynamics , content strategy, and user behavior
  • Excellent skills in content planning , user operations , and data interpretation
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and project management abilities
  • Fluent in Chinese and English (written and spoken)

About this role

The (Sr) Medical Science Liaison role is a part of US Medical Affairs, a strategic partner within Biogen, that helps inform medical practice across our therapeutic areas and pipeline to improve meaningful patient outcomes. The (Sr) Medical Science Liaison enables critical stakeholder engagement with Key Medical Experts (KMEs) and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) so they understand the clinical and scientific narrative for Biogen's therapies. This territory will cover AZ, NM, TX, and AR. The successful candidate must reside within the boundaries of the territory.

What You Will Do

  • Be a credible medical/ scientific expert who engages with KME and HCP to increase confidence in making the best clinical decisions pertaining to disease state and Biogen's products in the near and long term for the benefit of patient care.
  • Focus on building deep, strategic, long-term relationships with internal & external stakeholders to be viewed as a partner rather than transactional.
  • Be a "partner in the trenches" - be responsive, engage often and be a solutions-driven conduit to leaders in the medical community.
  • Engage in projects and/or initiatives aligned to US Medical strategy, objectives and tactics
  • Be highly accountable to qualitative and quantitative medical excellence performance goals, standards, and measurements. Deliver against KME engagement plans that add high value by navigating resources at the office in collaboration with field and non-field colleagues. Capture and report KME/HCP medical insights using Veeva with the highest level of consistency and accuracy to help inform the medical and clinical strategies.

You keep patients, payers and physicians top of mind in your daily work and collaborate to solve critical scientific and business challenges.

Required skills

  • Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree required; Doctoral level (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) preferred.
  • For Senior MSL consideration: Minimum 5 years' experience as a (Sr) Medical Science Liaison or similar role within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
  • Must reside within the territory, which includes the following states: AZ, NM, TX, and AR.
  • Effective communication : Communicates concisely, confidently, and credibly; Easily understands other points of views and responds appropriately; Listens with empathy to respond to current and future needs and adjust the communication according to the audience.
  • Digital potential : Comfortable using and experimenting with technology; Embraces and optimally utilizes new tools and systems; Demonstrates a willingness and aptitude to learn if not yet well versed.
  • Accountability : Delivers reliably against goals; Motivated to perform to meet and even exceed metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Views metrics and KPIs as a positive opportunity to communicate value to internal stakeholders.
  • Ethical: Understands rules for industry and is committed to following them for the benefit of patients.
  • Able to travel at least 60% of the time, including ability to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record . Must have authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental.

Preferred Skills & Therapeutic Area Specific Skills

  • Clinical experience and subject matter expertise in the respective therapeutic area is optimal.
  • Subject matter expertise in the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) therapeutic area is highly preferred.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $165,000.00-$221,000.00.

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.

Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
